Lance is good only against stuff with no armor, anything with light armor will block 50% of damage done by lance automaticall not to mention kinetic resist. on the other hand it wil only block 12.5% of LVA. It all depends on what your fighitng, i keep a lance and vibro lance and a lva in hotkey at all times. The lance is by far the most often used one but if theres a healer then i just sweep with lance and then switch to LVA and spam special heh, im usualy the only person hurt after a fight but whatever more damage more xp.
