Krazy said we can kill ourselves without being hit! AMEN THAT MY NUMBER 1 PROBLEM! I was just on dantooine doing misions and omg from the first creature I attacked DID NOT TOUCH me a single time, incaped... happened till I died!! People in my group that I have never been with actually asked me.. I thought you weren't being attacked... I said, I wasn't! lol they couldnt figure out what wass the deal since this person never fought with a pikeman before! She said she thinks Im buged! LOL Funny pikeman joke huh?!



Another guy put it well when he mentioned rifleman etc.. devs hate us! AMEN! lol I hear that alot myself, and well like you said, WHEN HAVE PIKEMAN EVER GOTTEN ANYTHING FROM THE DEVS!???? We ain't gotten *edit* so those guys don't have anything on us respectfully! I dueled another master TKA guy and he complained he had -5 accuracy! When im dealing with up to -83! Then his Imperial friends buffed his stats to 4k while we fought! LAME! Anyway we cant hit, and more than anything A GUY WITH NOTHING HAS MORE RANGE!?? How does a guy with nothing get more toughness and especially DEFESNE WITH NOTHING!! TKA guys much more attention then us, are we just going to be COMPLETELY IGNORED FOR THEN ENTIRE LIFE OF THE GAME!?



I saw one of you write how cool our animation is, AMEN! Its by far the coolest, I become a pikeman after I saw a guy in the desert attacking a Bantha with spin moves was so cool... in a dust storm! Anyway YOUR RIGHT, doesnt make any sense to give us such awsome animation and then completely abandoned us!!!!



WE MUST HAVE THE BEST DEFESNE IN MELEE CLASS, PIKEMAN IS DEFENSIVE! JABBS GUARDS, PIKEMAN... DARTH SIDEIOUS'S ELITE ROAYAL IMPERIAL GUARDS PIKEMAN! Why?? BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE BEST DEFESNE ! YOU CANNOT GO UP TO THOSE GUY WITH NO WEAPON AND WOOP THEM! LOL

well it definitely a problem with accuracy and HAM costs for me. ok i guess i can be ok with my normal attack missing half the time, i am NOT ok with it always missing when i use my special moves. if i'm gonna spend like 200 in HAM it **edit** well better not miss. i've basically totally stopped using all special cuz its just easier to attack something, walk away from comp, get some food and then come back and the nuna will be about half way dead. I guess we could look at it more realistically or from movie facts. those laser guns in the star wars movies missed, o, about 2 thirds of the time. but those tuskens sure took one swipe to knockout Luke. it wasnt 'miss. almost got him. lets try a special. ouch i incapped myself' melee weapons rarely would miss targets if they were right in front of them. i just hope this is fixed when 'center of being' goes live on the servers.

Ranxero mentioned something we often overlook because of our other more obvious problems...


Purpose.


With the other melee, their specialization in certain respects is what gives them an advantage. Fencers are not well off either, but their speed and blind attacks I assume make the class somewhat useful. I won't mention TK because we all know as far as melee goes, they are at least better off than therest of us. Now Swordsmen also seem to have a great advantage in weapon versatility. From the katana to a powerhammer, a swordsman can customize their attack from something quick and sharp to a slow, brutal damage offensive. Now with pikeman, we were obviously made for knockdown and area attacks. Since KD is not that effective, and area attack is instant aggro-suicide from multiple opponents... what am I good for? What can I do? Maybe I would say high damage but a swordsman with a powerhammer is just as strong (even stronger?). I was really hoping we could maybe excel in mounted combat. Traditionally, a pikeman would have the best chance against an opponent on horseback. Also, with weapons like our lance and vibrolance, we should have the best offensive capabilities from a mount.


The only downside with all this is usefulness. Most of my fellow pikeman probably don't care about mounted combat in the least, so all of this would do little to excite them.As I've heard others say, maybe leghits can also slow down an opponent temporarily.As long as it's something a pikeman can have to make them useful. Because as of now, I can see no reason to be a pikeman, other than my love for the polearm. But for others that are deciding what class to choose for fighting, why would they even consider this class? Most polearms I see in the game are being used by dancers in cantina's, they are not being used in combat. There is something horribly wrong with this picture...

Well, since accuracy is being fixed, then my main concern after that would be:



1) Defense/Toughness


2) HAM


3) Damage. It's ridiculous how we do less damage than other Melee Classes, when since going back to D&D, Polearms do the most damage.



I personally, am happy with the weapons in front of us. Most every class has two weapons they can use at the most. Pistoleers have the DX2 and the FWG5, Riflemen have the T21 and the Spraystick? Swordsmen have the Nodachi (two handed katana) and the power hammer, why should we have more. now if we had a spear that we could throw for range, that might be different.
