Pikeman Archive
Thread: So, how many force-sensitive pikemen are there going to be?
Everyone, except those who studiously avoid it, either out of disgust or just a desire to be different perhaps.

Pike Sisters..?

But remember that force sensitivty people are still born everyday.. the empire cannot change that...
Therein lies the rub. Force sensitive people were indeed all around during this time. They were NOT, however, jedi.
Force sensitive is not the same as a jedi. I know there are thousands of screaming idiots out there (not saying you're one before you bite my head off
) who think this is the case, but it just isn't so.
You can go out and catch criminals, but unless you're employed by the police department, you're not a cop. You can go out and put out fires, but unless you're employed by the fire department, you're not a fireman. You can shoot lightning out of your ass all day long and float up to the window of the girls bathroom too, but unless you're a member of the jedi order, you aren't a jedi.
At the time of this game there was ONE jedi master left ... Yoda. There was soon to be only one jedi apprentice ... Luke. Thats it. Nobody else. Make any argument otherwise and you are a fool. Anyone who knows anything about Star Wars knows the mythology behind it.
Guys, even Darth Vader was not a jedi. Its true. He quit the order when he hooked up with the Emperor.
There was only one jedi in this timeline. Lots of FS people, but only one jedi. End of story.
You may now all cast stones at me for bringing up a horrid topic such as continuity into this discussion.
Leggy is right here. The problem with the Jedi in this game (story-wise) is that this game is set in the wrong time period for Jedi. There eventually end up being more Jedi (Kyle Kataarn, Mara Jade, etc), but not until some time AFTER ROTJ. Luke went to Yavin 4 after much research and opened the Jedi Academy.
At the time this game is taking place, Yoda is the ONLY Jedi Master and Luke is the ONLY Jedi Apprentice (Light Jedi...Vader was a Dark Jedi and Mara Jade, the Emporer's Hand, was also a Dark Jedi Apprentice).
Now that I have demonstrated my Geek Factor, I'll go back to my closet...
If the new jedi system creates the player bounty system that I've been waiting for (more force sensitives = more missions on BH terminals) then I will probably go back toMaster Bounty Hunter.
I may do the quests for fun, but I imagine they are going to require extremelyrare lootable items (heavily camped areas) and enormous amounts of time to complete.

Nope more FS is not equal to more missions on BH terminals
These skill boxes will be "Force enhancements" that will augment their existing professional skills to simulate a fictional "Force sensitivity". For example, a player can purchase a box of Crafting Sensitivity and gain a small bonus to crafting. This simulates their character being more in tune with the Force so they may have slightly better reflexes, insights, etc. All these skills are passive and do not generate "Jedi visibility".
But the Jedi population will surely grow and that will lead to more missons on the BH terminal

OH EH! EH OH!
Where did this come from?
You mean to tell me if I do some of the jedi trial BS, I can gain skills to make my main character better??
I thought they were just changing it so your main becomes the jedi?!?
I might have to change my vote if this is true. BS or not, I'm not going to get short-changed in the skill department.

I got it from the Jedi archives volume 2

It doesnt say anything about any passiv combat bonuses and if they ever put anything like that in the game my guess is that everyone will be FS except those with new toons and peeps serious about RP.
