Pikeman Archive

Through my pikeman experience it has always appeared that pikemen were, in pvp, to be used against a group of ranged attackers as so: you're covert, you walked into a bunch of ranged attacks that are bunched together (yeah, so maybe it's really circumstantial) and then use a few spins and i figure, as i haven't tested this, that you'd kill a few of them, considering such things as armor and buffs. But pikeman has never appeared to be a dueling class, and when i was a tera kasi novice it was extremely difficult to level and infact i am having an easier time leveling as pikemen (ofcourse, with TKM giving me back drop stats that could be a good reason). The real melee dueling classes appear to be tka and fencer, i haven't really seen any two handed swordsmen do well in duels, but i haven't dueled every one, so my data is reduced to my own insignificant experiences. Each class is unique, and excells in it's own field (or should atleast) what they really ought to do is give pikeman, two handed swordsman, and fencer a bonus while riding on mounts, in the future, obviously there are problems abundant that require greater priority but i feel this would level the playing field for the use of pikeman, and melee classes in general, as it is tough to fight in a pvp battle as melee against multiple ranged attackers, but then again, maybe melee fighters are supposed to be used as covert sneak attacks, which they do very good at, considering (with the right attacks) you can incap a ranged fighter much faster than another ranged fighter could.
