Also how important do you rank master brawler as being toward being a sucessful pikeman?

I have a novice Pikeman (think he is 0010 maybe 0011) and he has novice medic (no xp at all in it) and almost master scout. I do just fine with no buffs, no food and no pet. I would do those Huurton missions at times...they are a little tough but if there are no other lairs close by it is definatly dooable.


My tactic is to not use specials unless the fight is going a little sour then I will plop a couple leghit's on it (takes less HAM than polearmhit).


I also use traps (one that lowers their melee defence and ranged defence). Many people overlook these for PvE, they are very useful.


Pick up some advanced stimb's if you have novice medic, they are quite helpful.
