The "shock wounds" is just another way of saying "Battle Fatigue." Buried in the patch notes was a line that said they added "combat spam" when you get wounds and shock wounds. You used to accumulate battle fatigue silently - now you accumulate it with large amounts of green text. It's just the same, though.
