I've also submitted the ideas for new pikeman weapons based on the 'wishlist' thread (force pikes, glaives, spears).

...again Gunman21, most excellent work! Force pikes... that word give me the shivers... in a GOOD way Do you know for a fact that adding more weapons will be something soon to be happening? Or at least high elite profession weapons?

One important thing to note Clab is this:

  1. Limited weapon/damage type selection - We'd like to have more damage types.
  2. We disagree. This is an elite unarmed profession.Teras Kasi has a number of unique advantages, as we als being an all-around excellent damage dealer. Limitation tokinetic damage is one of the disadvantages that balances the Teras Kasi profession with the other brawling professions

That was our response from the devs about us wanting a secondary damage type.We got shot down on this issue by the devs but thunderheart agreed to let us put together a proposal to try and change the devs minds.

Also yes Mr.heavy is pushing for restraint, but the TKA boards seem to be in favor of stun damage actually. Also important to note is although Mr.heavy is pushing for restriant damage based on the fact he believes grappling and locks are a part of martial arts and hence a logical choice, nobody has actually mentioned having this move/weapon actually do anything like hold the person in range, force the tartget against a wall etc, were not interested really in actually holding the person, were interested in a second type of damage is all.The move/weapon doesn't have to have any effect on it like that all as long as the damage is something other kinetic.

Really I don't think were even asking for the same thing actually. You guys seem to be asking for a move with an effect similar to a posture change/knockdown, basically something to force people to stayin mellee range, you guys could probably care less about what type of damage is inflicted provided the effect is what you want.We could care less about the move/weapon having an effectsimilar toposture change/knockdown, the only thing we care about is getting a secondary damage type.

This thread could verywell be moot anyways, as I've already pointed out the devs have shot us down on this issue so far.

I like the idea of something similar to a hockey check/kick for us...either knocking the target down or pushing him to our ideal -55 accuracy range. And why would a TKA need another time delay option...Its almost impossible to knock a TKA down let alone dizzy them. However, you can do it almost at will to the other melee professions.

I have a prediction....when these new so called combat changes come out, TKA will still get the most attention...why?....I've stated my reasons above. If you can go to sleep at night a little easier thinking it's just because your corospondent is working harder...good for you.

Pikeman use the same amount of skill points as you and yet a novice TKA can wipe the floor with us. Is this fair? Fine leave TKA alone...but that's the problem isn't it. YOU WILL NOT STOP, some of you will keep hijacking threads, invading boards, and taking any and all dev attention you can to make your profession even more uber.
Why not try this approach..Be happy with what you got for a while and let the other professions get a little attention. I would basically like to say **edit** but I won't because there are still a few TKA out there I actually respect.

Tka's where about 800 a move... but that was for those who wanted to use kd with knucklers in hand and a full set of armor on. Most just adjusted and unequipped knucklers for such attacks as kdbut you still had alot crying about it for abit.

Another point we should make here about the TKA/Pikeman difference is that we were without a correspondent for a long time...Not that no one applied, they just plain ignored us. And TKA changes were being made before the correspondent idea came into being, you can't use that as your reason why your class is getting all the attention. If no TKA people came on this board accusing us of trying to nerf you, this thread would have probably gone away by now, but you came here looking for a fight, I don't understand why, are you so nerf scared that you are starting to see threats where none were given?

Pikeman : Doing massive damage; to the air surrounding our target.
Pikeman : You're dead meat, unless you happen to be standing in front of us.
Pikeman : Because the devs were one profession short.
DEVs : Pikeman? Thats a class?

cmon guys, cant we just get along? so were on opposite sides of the brawler class, does that matter? were still a part of the same class and should work together, lets just stop fighting and work with eachother, tka can do uber damage to one unit at a time, and we are supposed to do uber damage (when added up) to multiple units, let them have their hold technique, and maybe the devs could give us a kd/pike to the throat move for holding down an enemy or something, and it slowly drains action untill we run out, anyone like this idea? hey if i had a 6 foot long stick, and i didnt want to kill someone, thats what id do

Gezee guys...didnt mean to start a Brawl here

Anyways, Like I said 3 times now, I just wanted Gun(pike)man to see this so he was aware that TKA are toying with something similar to what we are toying with thats all...and if this type of move will help define a Profession, then only 1 can have it.
