Thread: TKA's are trying to steal our hold move...Gunman please look
...again Gunman21, most excellent work! Force pikes... that word give me the shivers... in a GOOD way

I've also submitted the ideas for new pikeman weapons based on the 'wishlist' thread (force pikes, glaives, spears).
One important thing to note Clab is this:
- Limited weapon/damage type selection - We'd like to have more damage types.
- We disagree. This is an elite unarmed profession.Teras Kasi has a number of unique advantages, as we als being an all-around excellent damage dealer. Limitation tokinetic damage is one of the disadvantages that balances the Teras Kasi profession with the other brawling professions
That was our response from the devs about us wanting a secondary damage type.We got shot down on this issue by the devs but thunderheart agreed to let us put together a proposal to try and change the devs minds.
Also yes Mr.heavy is pushing for restraint, but the TKA boards seem to be in favor of stun damage actually. Also important to note is although Mr.heavy is pushing for restriant damage based on the fact he believes grappling and locks are a part of martial arts and hence a logical choice, nobody has actually mentioned having this move/weapon actually do anything like hold the person in range, force the tartget against a wall etc, were not interested really in actually holding the person, were interested in a second type of damage is all.The move/weapon doesn't have to have any effect on it like that all as long as the damage is something other kinetic.
Really I don't think were even asking for the same thing actually. You guys seem to be asking for a move with an effect similar to a posture change/knockdown, basically something to force people to stayin mellee range, you guys could probably care less about what type of damage is inflicted provided the effect is what you want.We could care less about the move/weapon having an effectsimilar toposture change/knockdown, the only thing we care about is getting a secondary damage type.
This thread could verywell be moot anyways, as I've already pointed out the devs have shot us down on this issue so far.
I have a prediction....when these new so called combat changes come out, TKA will still get the most attention...why?....I've stated my reasons above. If you can go to sleep at night a little easier thinking it's just because your corospondent is working harder...good for you.
Pikeman use the same amount of skill points as you and yet a novice TKA can wipe the floor with us. Is this fair? Fine leave TKA alone...but that's the problem isn't it. YOU WILL NOT STOP, some of you will keep hijacking threads, invading boards, and taking any and all dev attention you can to make your profession even more uber.
Why not try this approach..Be happy with what you got for a while and let the other professions get a little attention. I would basically like to say **edit** but I won't because there are still a few TKA out there I actually respect.
Gezee guys...didnt mean to start a Brawl here![]()
Anyways, Like I said 3 times now, I just wanted Gun(pike)man to see this so he was aware that TKA are toying with something similar to what we are toying with thats all...and if this type of move will help define a Profession, then only 1 can have it.
well, when the BAD half tries to steal our "moves" it matters

so were on opposite sides of the brawler class, does that matter?
