Thread: Please welcome our new Pikeman Correspondent!
Hi fellow Pike brothers and sisters, I started the game as a brawler, last night I made Master
Brawler, I'm also concentrating on Pikeman which by the way im 2,2,3,2. I'm also a creature
handler, so my whole character is based on Melee all the way even my pets. I'm using the
bonuses you get from Master Brawler to fill any holes in the Pikeman profession which I
believe it has only a few, the profession is great and challenging which is what I'm looking for.
I always try to use different moves, different tactics, I study the way people fight, mobs fight
etc. I like to use alot of strategy in all of my fights. Try to combine and make your own
formulas for what type of moves are more effective on different NPC and humans. Most of the
melee fighters problems is that they spam way too much on a certain move, if you think about in
a real fight if I see you using the same moves I'll be ready to defend myself against the same
move over and over again.
I hope this would help any brother or sister brawler/pikeman out there. Experiment on different
things, I'm having a great time on this game and you guys should too.
Thanks for listening guys, take care all of you.
P.S. Hey Silver if you ever need any help let me know... ![]()

lol, thanks, but I don't think SOE has plans of continuing the program, they are probably just to busy to take on all of the people's messages.
Khrim...
They actually are going to try to make the correspondent system better by setting up a special PA on Test center for just the correspondents to talk and show things to the devs.
I know that I haven't posted much here in the past, but I have been reading it all and as a Pikeman myself I understand your frustration. I don't know who all has volunteered in the past to be the next correspondent since Silver Surfer is leaving, but I sent in an email volunteering myself for what it is worth. The whole idea is that whoever gets the role need to listen to the people here as well as working with the other Melee correspondents to come up with a balanced system across all melee professions that brings up those that are behind the curve (like Pikemen) without nerfing anyone else in the process (like TKA). Add that work with the devs proposal for revamping the combat system and it is extremely important that we all get on board with this and help out in a constructive fashion. I fear that without coordination between all of the melee professions that only those with the most people will be heard rather than balancing them across the board. I also fear that the big equalizer will not be available real fast because if they are truly rewriting the combat system, that is no small task.
Anyway, we need to lend our support to whoever gets the role of the next correspondent and that correspondent needs to push real hard on Test Center with the other correspondents and devs to get the voice of the Pikemen heard.
Thanks.
