Pikeman Archive

I originally wanted a martial-arts type character, but wanted to use a staff like in Crouching Tiger, so I went with polearm (instead of TK)thinking wooden staff and combat staff was going to be what I wanted. I didn't know that the advanced weapons were LVA and VL at the time. But I stuck with it, and after 6 months finally made master.

I was a Pikewoman from the minute I got the game because I saw everyone going Rifle, TK, BH, or some other elite class and you did not see to many Pike's around. This is my second character cause I have 2 accout's and my first one is going Master Doctor/Master Weaponsmith.

Snails/Softail

Spent a lot of time whacking things with sticks in beta, went up to polearms 4 once the game went live and then got distracted trying out a few other professions.

Switched to a new server after a bit with the intention of becoming a pikeman. I haven't fought with another weapon at all since then and don't intend to change.

/lifts hand

I've been playing since Day 2....about day 12, or so, I realized that there were no pikeman, anywhere! lol! So, of course, I had to be different...a stubborn quality that usually brings me more grief than bliss...but in this case, it has paid off....I'm a master now, with seven DEADLY sticks, and I wouldn't trade them, or my profession, for the world...

About same story as Legwand. I started out opening day (when we could actually log in) killing desert swoopers (and dieing alot) with the starting CDEF pistol we got. Then looted a wooden staff from one of them and was hooked.

While I had me game on order and waiting for it to arrive, I envisioned my character as a Creature Handler with Polearm as my Primary. Early on, while climbing the Scout tree, I used Rifle with Polearm as backup. Now, I've had to drop Rifle and am gleefully spending my time chasing things all over the place to whack them with my stick. In short, I love Pikeman, even when I can't hit a darned thing.

I'm proud to say, I've been a pikeman from the get-go. I just remember seeing a screeny with a Trandoshan holding a LVA in a battle stance and decided I wanted to be that bad-A. Also, I love a good challenge.
