1.) When you're a Pikeman, you always win stick-measuring contests. ...and that's about it.
2.) You drew the short straw in your guild.
3.) You think you might feel guilty about deathblowing someoneand you'd rather remove the temptation of ever having to make that choice altogether.
4.) You'repreparing your character for the eventual inclusion ofpolevaulting as a playable SWG mini-game. ("C'mon...polevaulting! It's like fishing but different!" -TH).
5.) After mastering Musician, you realize don't have the skill points left over to do CM and you heard Pikeman was the next best thing.

1. You are a gulton for punishment
2. You think the NS Engery Lance is the collest thing to happen since sliced bread
3. You think, just because you fight with a pole it will help with your fishing
4. Just to get done with the hologrind
5. You found a NS Lance with a +25 Polearm Evasion mod and you want to PvP with it

1:- It's a challenge, we actually have to think about what we're gonna fight as we take so much damage. (unlike tka for instance)
2:- Easy access to lots of sweet weapons and its fun finding them. (NS Slaughter)
3:- Electric damage type, very handy in some situations.
4:- Area dizzy area knockdown (total comedy)
5:- Setting fire to ewoks is great revenge.

I have yet to find an ewok on endor... people clear their tree villages. I might get pikeman soon but i have to master Swordsman first.

just picked up pikes and OMFG its awesome 
Have to say its by far the most fun combat prof I've done (TKA, Fencer, CM and swords under my belt so far). Plus it looks so cool

1) With the help of DoT pikeman are really tough in duels
2) It really is fun to watch yourself fight
3) There is never a pike you don't want, you always see new pikes that u JUST have to buy (I think I now own 29 pikes bought 19 of them)
4) Area kd is Sweet! hehe
5) As someone said, "we're pretty good in the DWB and vette) 100% AGREED!

1) REALLY cool looking, functional specials
2) Area attacks
3) Rare profession (although some of the FOTMers are getting pike skills for DOT lances)
4) Honor among pikemen (except for above mentioned FOTMers)
5) One of the only professions where you can loot your own useable weapons
6) The look of suprise you can almost see through the monitor when you take down a fencer/tkm/brawler or a fencer/rifleman or fencer/TK
7) The only profession where block is anywhere near effective (it even works effectively where pistoleer/fencer dodge fails (Nightsisters))
8) One of 2 professions (the otheris carbineer)that actually require skill and thought to play (you can't just sit there and spam one move all the time, you have to react to the situation).
9) The only single skilltree, elite profession that TH considers as a hybrid profession 
There's9 right off the top of my head. I used to complain about pikeman, but I stuck with it and mastered it. Now I wont go without it.

5. nightsister energy lance. seeing that lance in action blew me away. getting tells from everyone asking how they can get one just like it is also nice.

1. Pikemans are god DWB group leaders.
shameless ad for us on Farstar that crafted a Mandalorian helmet, adn I was the planner / leader of the group /guild.
On a serious note im a firm believer of playing a proffession becouse you actually like it and feel immersion with it.
I have basicly only played Pike and BH and I loved it.

Pikemanis the only melee profthat can deal outenergy damage.

yes, and what's your point? people not famaliar with the profession or the weapon are curious what type of weapon it is and how they can acquire one.
