Do we need a new weapon? Or do we need to have better accuracy with our existing ones? Think about it. Why isn't a crafted LVA useful to a lot of people in pvp? Because when you try to use it, you get miss, miss, miss, dodge, miss, miss, dodge, miss. With the DOT weapons, at least you had a chance to stick some damage when the attack was dodged. Personally, I'd rather not have to rely on DOTs to win. I don't want to start crying for new weapons either. I want our existing ones to work. As Gunman proposed in the quick fix requests, for the LVA and VL to have at least 1 positive ranged mod. That would fix a lot of our problems right there.

I dont think the arguement "I need something to get through 80% Comp" is going to get pikeman anything new. If everyone has 80% Comp, that means everyone has to deal with the same problem.
Increase pikeman accuracy. I mean, you got a 6 foot pole, and are a master at using it. How stinking hard can it be to hit something with it consistantly? Have a wide damage range on it, sure, but don't tell me I can't hit something 2 feet in front of me.
The Energy Lance seems to be resolved to a "High End, Most people will never hold one" weapon. The effects it generates, the DOTs it has, I don't think it was ever meant for everyone to have.
I say give pikeman range modifiers in line with everyone elses, and you solve a lot of issues. As far as I know, we have Electricity and Kenetic Damage. Fencers have Stun and Kenetic. Swordsman have Blast and Kenetic. TK's have Kenetic.
I don't see any reason why Pikeman deserve another damage type over anyone else. Now if they plan on leaving the range modifiers as it, then YES, I would say they should get another weapon and/or damage type. It would be something to make up for the misses.

TKMs can only do kinetic damage, a lot of comp has 80% protection to kinetic, so let's give them weapons with fire damage with DOTs that tick 300 damage and 200 wounds to the mind every 10 seconds. Well because I've never seen a fire VK. I've seen more than my share of fire VL's though. I wasn't saying that they have these. I was merely using it as an example to show how rediculous your argument is. The problem with pikeman has nothing to do with the amount of DOT weapons or damage types. As far as that goes, we beat every other melee profession in DOT and damage types (we're the only class with 3 damage types and the most DOT weapons). Just think of the best crafted LVA you've seen. In this example, I'll use one that I picked up that has 500 max damage (after slice). Add powerup and this becomes 665. With AP2, imagine the amount of damage it would do if we could actually hit with it in pvp? Without running numbers, I'dguess you could do up to150 damage with 1 hit in pvp on this weapon (with 75% reduction, 80% armor etc), and if your oponent happens to not be wearing armor (i.e. jedi) you're looking at about 650 damage. So why isn't this weapon effective? -25 mods on the weapon, 150 accuracy, opponents with 125 melee defense and 125 dodge.

I just recently got some VLA's 5 Sliced 2 speed and 3 at 550 damage, 530 damage, and 520...vbut i want a 1k damage looted one

Are you referring to this or am I missing something?
While I agree with all that, it quite frankly doesn't do **edit** for the 95% of pikemen who will probably never have a NSEL, and if it becomes a vastly better weapon than the LVA we'd just become more loot-dependent. If the stats are improved to the point that it's almost necessary for a pikeman to have one, it needs to be made a whole lot more possible to get one.
Energy Lance:
Axkva Min's resistances need to be changed as to allow pikeman to deal damage to her. (Electricitcal or Kinetic damage types)
The Energy Lance needs a great increase in stats:
* Heavy Armor Piercing
* Higher Maximum Damage
* Improved disease dots

Here's my beef with the situation.
Using stock pikes, and even 800 damage loots, you dont do diddly in pvp. Ive been a pikeman since day 1, and Im far beyond the whole no DOT pikeman thing, it makes no sense. I pvp tons, and I will not settle for doing 50-60 damage to rifleman with 80% composite armor, Ill get killed. And no, Im not gonna go fencer, or back to rifleman, cause Ive been a piker since day 1 pretty much. And Dont compare TKMs to use because if you knew the game you'd know A) They have just as strong weapons crafted overall, and B) They speed cap. PIkeman do NOT speed cap, and our targeted pool specials (leghit1-3) Is a complete JOKE! I dont even have it on my toolbar! It does so little damage compared to headshot3, Mindhit3, even in PVE its a joke. So until they fix us and/or pvp I will dot away, since there is no other way for me to win. And I do owne 800+ damage pikes that are also pretty worthless. So when they fix that and defense stacking, Ill drop my dots with a big **edit**in smile on my face.
And BTW being loot depepndent isnt such a bad thing, its what kept us rare in the beggning.

That weapons looks tight but thats beside the point. I think we need the NSEL to be easier to obtain because some us have lifes and cant camp it every morning
. we need accuracy increased along with speed. Why do fencer's cap easy and we dont? and either a diff damage type or ap. I can beat any proff almost but takes forever I mean forever. And no to be flaming riflemen but how do you get a 200 damage wep and kill 2-3 shot's. I know its stun damage but thats unbalanced being able to kill in 3 shots the person wearing armor and a psg. I just feel like pike the dev's dont care about. If we get our weps amped up (lva's. Vl's and NSEL) we be a good proffession.

What Damage? You mean the 27 we do against comp? melee mitigation, ap and 80%kin comp kills us
