Trust me, it's no fun for the smuggler either. I very rarely publicly slice anymore because anything beneath a 25% damage slice tends to elicit either anger or whining.

tere is absolutely no solid system that can produce a desired slice at any frequency other than the random roll
that aside take up smuggler so you can slice your own pikes i did
and i hate when people cry abought the speed slice you dont think smugglers feel bad by doing that to you? I wont slice anything hi end for anybody anymore as it is too much pressure i slice my wn gear thats it

He does these % of damage slices all the time. Like i said, there are only twosmugglers on the server that know about this pattern, so its not surprising to see that you couldnt figure it out m8t.

Ummmm yeah,its not that way that the DEVS actually have STATED that SLICING IS TOTALLY RANDOM!!!1111!!! If a smuggler says that he can choose between damage and speed,he lies. Slicing is totally random,there is even people who have seriously testing this,and no,only random results! Check the Smuggler update docs,it actually says "smuggler cant affect slicing today,and the results are random",I get so pi***ed off everytime some uber thirteenthirtyseven kid says that "my private smuggler can giva ya damage slices,all the time"....Apart from Master Pikeman,Im also Master Smuggler on Bloodfin. If you arent a smuggler,dont pretend as you know something about slicing....Yes,this is totally flaming,but Im so freggin tired or ppl claiming that slicing can be controlled.....
Flame on,slicing is still random until the revamp!

i've been a smuggler a LOOOONG time, buddy, i've tried alot of crazy stuff to try to augment my slices. and trust me when i tell you this, there is NO, let me repeat that.... THERE IS NO way to predict, manipulate, augment or otherwise work around the random roll. maybe your friend is lucky, maybe your friend is full of it, i dunno. but he/she is not manipulating the random slice roll. yeah, i get pissed when i hit the sub 20% slices, but it happens, too bad so sad. try looking at it this way, when you get something sliced, 20 variable outcomes for weapons, 30 variables for armor (15%-35% for weapons and armor effect, and 15%-45% for armor encumb) 50% chance it'll be what you want, but after all that chance, there is a 100% chance that your item will be improved. but as a pikeman, i feel for ya on the bad luck, i really do, but as a smuggler, i say too damn bad, your pike got better, you don't like it, destroy the damn thing.

Talk all you want...i dont really care. The proof is in the pudding. 75% of the time he gets damage slices. So keep telling me its random, and ill keep getting damage slices.

This is why I only buy presliced....
It was funny though, I used to be a master smuggler and this guy brought a DRX to me. He said it was his 5th one he had made from krayt tissues he had been spending millions on. The previous 4 had all gotten speed slices..... I got a 34% dmg on this one.... it was one bad rifle after I was done with it

I just flipped a coin five times. I got 4 tails and 1 head.
I've developed a method to get an 80% success rate at flipping tails! Any heads I may flip in the future I'm sure will be due to having improperly followed my new (and complicated) tail-flipping procedure. I'm also clearly more brilliant than anyone else who has ever flipped a coin, so I'm sure nobody else will be able to replicate my results.
Slilces are random. It's been extensively proven by hundreds of thousands of slices, and any smuggler who's been around awhile knows it. However, telling people you have a 75% success rate at damage slices sure does bring in the pigeons.
