It has nothing to do with whats good.


Its just not many people have tried Pikeman, and now they will.


In the last 2 weeks, Ive seen a 500% increase in people holding pikes.




Its either A) because of so many people seeing me swinging a pike and claiming lives, or B) because Pike is simply going to be FOTM. I believe its B, as much as Id like to believe it was A.

Why does this always happen to me... First I wanted to use those huge guns. Even before they were beefed up. Commando sounded cool. 2 weeks later everyone and there mother was one. Next beeting on things with my hands sounded the way to go as well. 2 weeks later nothing but, Whats the fasted way to get Teras Kasi Novice!!11?!? Next Sniping at things? Sounds Fun! and Behold! T21's as far as the eye can see. Seriously now if this becomes a FOTM i'm going become a droid engineer or something...

Better hold off on the droid engineer thing until after they revamp it. With the ability to build cool combat droids it may also go FOTM.

I can solo pretty much any Nightsister.




So... fighting 7 Sentries isnt a big deal.



I can fight Protectors. Whats your point?



Soon Swordsman mindbleeds are gunna suuuck. IMO no melee output matches pikemen. I hit for like 8k lol.

Why would swordsman mind bleeds suck? Just because you can't stack two of them? We have a lot of damage output, sure, but heavy swordsmen put out more without having to rely on special looted weaponry, plus they have the aforementioned mind bleeds and mind attacks.


Here is why we won't be a FOTM:

We won't be a FOTM, just more useful. FOTMs occur when there is a great advantage in either PvP or money-making PvE. Pikemen is not a pvp class, and there isn't anything we can do in pve that other classes cannot.

Pikeman IS a pvp class. If done right.



Bleeds are going to be affected by armor. Thus bleeds = the suck.



how much damage actually leaks through on a normal hit to the dome from a Swordsman? 50? A mindbleed for 50 is A-OK in my book, compared to the mindbleed for 1100 I put up with now.



As for PvE, Id love for you to come watch me solo an ATST, or clear the NS cave, or tank Axkva Min.


Not many others Ive seen in melee profs that can do that. Especially after the changes to DoTs coming.

Lots of other classes can solo AT-STs, tank Axkva, clear the NS cave, etc, swordsmen included. We have less useful bleeds that will be affected in the same way as the swordsman bleeds, and there are only a few people who would argue that pikeman is a good pvp class. The disadvantages currently outweigh the advantages tremendously. If you are relying and basing all of your statements off of a looted weapon, then think a little more carefully about it. I appreciate you having a positive outlook, but don't make it a destructive outlook.

I think you are seeing an increase in pikeman as well because of the holocubes. I have 2 characters that used their holocubes and each one said "Master Pikeman".

that cap better be placed by the order you got master pike, Would hate to lose my months of master pike to some hologrinder with it for a week.
