well, look at it this way, since the fencer has better defence and will most likely have armor on and have synth and other foods to dodge (air cake ect) he would rarely get hit, and when he did, his armor would absorb most of the blow, then the synth, then he gets the rest inflicted, and most of the time, even if you have a 1200+dmg pike you wont do much unless you use leghit 3 since most people dont wear pants and only wear boots. You on the other had, dont have defences as good as a fencer, and even with a psg/41% stun armor and synth you will take more damage to health if they can kd you... Not exacally saying the fencer will always win, it mostly counts on the player, but its more likely that the fencer will win if you ask me...

Actually I've fought fencer-only combat templates without DOTs or 1k+ LVAs and done very well, won a few even. The keys are patience, medic skills, anddizzy/KDs (not that hard without defense stacking on the part of the fencer). Everyone is very right though to say the question is very broad and with the current combat system there is way too much mitigation/chef foods/exceptional looted weapons/ADK'd PSGs/etcgoing on on both sides to really make a great guess.

No DOTs, my 40% stun and 60% ADK'd PSG will mean I don't lose. I probably can't win either, but I'd have to be a complete moron to lose the duel.

While I'm sure we could come with a few cases where great pikeman tactics could take down a tactically poor fencer, I still feel that in most cases, if you subtract the DOT from the Pikeman, he gets owned.

Even done it several Times. Master Pikeman/Master rifles Pistols Def.
Kd/Dizzy with 1k dmg
headshot3 high Dmg jawa or Dxr You pick your Poison...

i meant to say either the pikeman will win or their will be a draw because with stun armor/psg fencers wont touch a ranged person. much less a brawler proff like pikeman.

I've been enjoying this thread and reading the various scenario and opinions but all in all, it seems to me like an unanswerable question. It's akin to the old "Who would win, Batman or Superman?" type question.
