I buff any pikeman on Gorath full master doc buffs for free.

I have used a lot of muon gold in addition to doc buffs, but I recently discovered Breath of Heaven by chefs and it rocks for mind buffs, and hasn't got the nasty downer. I'm thinking that if you haven't got doc buffs readily available foods and spice may be a good answer.
