I'm not saying hes a horrible person either. I'm saying hes a hypocrite for saying he supports us in one breath, and then says how we're not as bad off as swordsmen in the next.
I'm sure swordsmen need some work as well but by coming here and trying to skew arguments in his favour to support his own agenda, hedoes not sound like a person who 'supports' us.

I suppose you are correct. Especially the comment above aboutTH saying "combat balance", I can see that exact response given to a post like this. What a screw. It really pisses me off that they spend huge amounts of time on jedi and push backfixes to what this game should be about, the GCW and combat. Unbelievable. It's pretty obvious that the suits forced that one to attract more attention to KOTOR online, that's pretty muchwhat it's becoming.
my reaction to this is...so what.
We take more damage, than any other class (mostly). If this bothers you, don't be a pikeman. The numbers have been runand thats what they tell you. Does this mean we are broken? Or is that just the way pikeman shakes out.
This is not to say that I love being low man on the totem pole in nearly every conceivable spreadsheet, but there it is.

Regardless, looks like Pikemen are getting screwed yet again. I'm a fencer myself (and I have been sinceJuly so I'm no FOTM L33T DewD) but my real life best friend is a Pikeman. He does more PvE damage than I do by a considerable measure but nothing like a TKA or a Swordsman can dish out. If defenses for Pikes are as bad as this research suggests, then what's the advantage of being a pikeman?

But of course our class shouldn't be dependant on looted weapons ... and cool looking moves won't help you against a TKM
Fencers: 50% of incoming damage stopped by dodge. The other 50% is reduced by 37% for melee defenses. The remaining 13% hit 32 toughness, reducing it to 68% of 13%.
Fencers take 8.84% of the incoming damage.
