Iunderstand that (They are very cool). I doubt the actual Royal Guard uniforms could be added for continuity concerns, but I will ask if either they or something similar can be added.


As I said before..... wasted question. We will never be Royal Guards.

From what creatures are these energy pikes looted?



and if they really want to fix pikeman they should look at the accuracy issues, the accuracy on pikeman is possibly the worse in game character accuracy, even with that long stick of metal we use to jab people in the eye, nothing ever gets solved i dropped my pike and missed the floor so to say, yeah the wound is heavy on my long vibro axe 51.7% and the damage is nice 115-465 but if i cant ever hit what im aiming at whats the point, and defense vs knock down or dizzy doesnt help much seeing as how if im a foot soldier with with 2/2/4/3 stats a tka novice with dizzy can easily kill me even though im buffed, all he need do is dizzy me then use knock down repeatedly and with the speed at which they move thats not hard to keep you down on the ground an unarmed tka's speed is at 1.5 while a pikemans is around 5.4 sometimes 4.5 depending on the weapond and modifiers you use, or if the weapon is sliced or not,



so in general pikeman needs


Accuracy


Speed


Weapons


Specials


Defense


and Wound Damage (by that i mean the ability to suffer the 344 mixed stat loss a special takes me to use)

The Energy lance parts and schematic come from the nightsister with no tag at the nightsister stronghold.. but the thing really isnt more than a rare lance, its damage sucks, its got dual Dot whoopdy doo two 40 strength dots. about 250 damage lol

I was master pikeman for a day. When i did manage to hit someone that i already managed to dizzy/kd i gave it up.


i feel for you guys. Now i am TK and its like going from novice marksman to master BH.

When Creature Handlers did the exact same thing as you just described you called them exploiters! You didn't say "oops, we (SOE) messed up and need to fix our mistake"... you blamed your oopsie on the players! (Players talk to each other you know, lol...) Now you turn around and tell people it's okay to do the very thing you called them exploiters for doing in the past...!


Looks like you think you can have it both ways depending on which side of the bed you get up on in the morning... I don't think so... you are sending a confusing and contradictory message by saying it's exploiting to mix and match and then say this game is meant to be mix and match... which is it?

Wow. That's 7 pages of pissed off pikeman. 7!!! Now that the super bowl is over how about you try to answer these questions again, and maybe this time you can think before you type.



We're all supposed to sit around and not be able to kill anyone for 2 **edit**ing months (or however long) until this magical combat pass. I know you can throw out quick fixes, why don't you fix us now. I doubt any of the other combat classes would have a problem with us getting fixed a bit early.



Also, why on earth did you even bother asking us for questions you had no intention of asking? Being a combat profession we were bound to ask mostly combat questions. Supposedly they're being addressed in the pass, but what questions could we ask that we can get a straight answer on? Why oh why is it a big secret what's happening in the next patch??



I read through all SEVEN pages of these responses looking for TH to answer some of our concerns regarding his responses and NOTHING. Thanks for nothing. Waste of my time and everyone elses.

I would just like to go on record as saying that I did *NOT* become a pikeman because I wanted to emulate the Imperial Guard. That was pretty much the farthest thing from my mind when it came time to choose a melee profession and, quite honestly, Ididn't even really make the connection until this very thread. I did happen to see a connection to the weequay guards on Jabba's sailbarge, sure, but onlyafter having been introduced to the LVA. In my humblest of opinions, the addition of the IGuniformshould be the lowest priority for the profession and shouldn't have warranted a place on the top ten concerns presented tothe developers. For me, at least, it's a non-issue until other, more pressing matters are resolved.


Otherwisethose passing by will be able to get a *good* look at the uniform while you're lying there on the ground incapacitated.


I chose the pikeman professionbecause I thought it would fit my playing style quite nicely; slow, powerful, and tough. So far, the class doesn't live up that.


Higher HAM costs for specials are acceptable, and probably ideal, but onlyif you're dealing out more damage than the other guy. Right now pikemen are killing themselves in combat with very little to show for it, either missing their target or damaging their opponent far less than they are being damaged by them. They're not the tanks that logic dictates they should be. Sure, a Teras Kasi Master should be able to hit twice as fast, but a Pike Master should be able to hit twice as hard, with the One-handed and Two-handed professions falling somewhere in between.


I hope that the "combat pass", as everyone is calling it, will correct many of these oversights. Until then, I feel that all pikemen who have invested countless hours and many skill points to their profession have a great many reasons to complain about their continued neglect, especially when almost every other class has been tweaked to some degree orcompletely restructured.


I was a pikeman in beta and continue to enjoy the profession to this day. However, until certain outstanding issues are resolved, the pikeman profession will continue to be, if you'll pardon the oxymoron, a subpar elite class.

Hello, just thought I'd check in this forum to see how your answers came along. Now my only question is why did TH allow us to make 10 Questions when he doesn't know the answers to any of them. "I don't know" is probably the scariest thing I've ever heard from someone who is in direct contact with the developers of the game. What the hell DOES he know if nothing about pikeman issues? I feel really sorry for you guys, but I feel even more sorry for myself. I hope someone points out to TH that he's making an ass of himself before he gets around to answering the BH questions. Pikemen have it bad, as do BHs - the only problem is us BHs have no room to dabble into anything useful like TH said in the answers, rofl.

think TH will ever respond to this?


Personally, I opened this post expecting answers to my prayers.....instead I got more questions......


We have a Force Pike? (This thing? that sucks? And is called a lance?)


We are Hybrid?


Wonder what the mysterious all-powerful combat pass will bring for us.....



Oh one more thing, in my research (correct me if Im wrong) I discovered that Force pikes were designed specifically to combat Jedi, with the push of a button they generate an energy aura around the lance, this aura works as a sheild and can parry lightsabers/blasters working in most respects as a lightsaber does (cept' its weilded as a pole) this aura combined witht the strength of most Royal Guards can actually rip through pretty thick armor and tissue.....In my opinion this would warrant a Heavy Armor peircing/Blaster Refecting weapon with damage much further above a LVA. Not a Poision DoT thing with only 10-200dmg......and no AP....
