Yes, it is considered a knockdown move like Unarmed Knockdown for TKA. It is NOT a posture change move like lunge1/lunge2

Polearm Sweep is the FIRST thing I'm going for after I get Novice Pikeman.

As you should, get Intermediate Defense, then do the Stances column, then finish off Defense, then do Offense.

Thanks for the tips. I am really excited about Polearm.... yes there are some disadvantages but I am really enjoying it, and I'm not even to Novice Pikeman yet. Even with the poor accuracy it's so much fun to see people's jaws drop at how much damage I do.

yeah thats my plan exactly for going up the skill tree except i got offence 1 before i heard here from romeo how bad leghit2 is. seriously it blows i can hit up to 1200 on stuff with no resists but its average dammage is about 350-400 or so. in fact it normaly hits for less with it than i do witha standerd swing of my VL. add on top of that it seems to miss alot and has a 2.25 time mod i say it sucks.

Hey are you saying that different specials take different amounts of time? I didn't know that! How can you tell how much time they take?

yeah i got this info out of a table in the prima guide but i you can also find this info here http://www.swgcenter.com/info/SpecialMoves.asp. if you compare the differnt moves like hit1 has 1.5 time mod and 2 dammage mod and hit2 is 2 time 2.5 dammage.

well before it posted early i was going to put this:

some in game tests make me wonder how true some of this is. like leghit1: 1.25 time and 1.5 dammage, leghit2 1.75 time 2.5 dammage. leghit should totaly outclass hit2 in dammage ofer time but i seem to do far less dammage with leghit2. anyone care to guess?

a silly thought but tonight im going to try useing leghit1 again tonight and see if it actualy helps more than leghit2. i just realized i never did leghit1 after i got 2, and never tried leghit1 with my Vl. guess what confuses me is i seem to remember hiting almost as much average dammage with leghit1 and plain lance as i do now with leghit2 and my VL.

well more thoughts runing on after that post now. i was reading up on pistoleer board not too long agoand seem to remember hearing that they have the same problems with their bodyshot so this maybe the case with all similer skills. maybe i should check other boards to see if carbiners, riflemen fencers etc are also having this problem. looks like tonight calls for a lot of testing

You know what we ought to do (those of us on the same server anyways) is get together and duel over and over again until we can get this figured out.
