What do u guys think? I havent started pvp yet (still xp grinding) but im gonna get a weapon made for pvp. Seems like most ppl prefer LVA - would a LVA be better to get its dmg sliced or spd? Throw ur advice at me ppl

I'm not a high pikeman, just got novice, but i'm definitely digging the LVA. MIsses alot, but when it hits, it hurts.

The Long vibro axe has medium armor piercing and all the crafted armor is only light. Thats why I would use a LVA in pvp. Maybe a vibro lance for speed and a combat staff for sweeping.

Go for LVA. They are planning to fix the horrible accuracy so you will be prepared

You'll just have to buy another one when they do. The weapon changes are not retroactive. I've had to keep buying new weapons every week or two. It's very annoying.

The low chance to hit doesn't matter. Go into battle with a reinforced combat staff and start out with a stun attack and follow it with a sweep. Then switch to LVA and auto attack. Throw in a PAH every so often to re-stun. (Stun, by the way, makes it so that you hit the target more often)

Well I like using a LVA like most but we're starting to use see some really good composite armour now on Kauri & I noticed that its only weakness is 0 stun defense but I also noticed that its defense against electricity seems to stop at 10% while everything else goes as high as 48%. So would using a VL against a fully armoured composite wearer be more beneficial or should I just stick with my trusty LVA?

I use a pretty nice regular lance again.

Reasons:

1) LVA and VL are HAM hogs...never seen anarguements there.

2) LVA and VL miss like crazy compared to lance, lva of course worse. Though the new LVA's and VL's have better potential DPS...the misses negate them.

In groups I get better xp using my lance than a VL or LVA and while soloing...I can chew through 2 missions with having to heal where as I need to heal a ton using a LVA or VL. Yes the ham problem can be overcome with healers and foods/drugs...but getting less xp per mob on average tells me they are not worth the effort.

I think we are all paying for cooler looking weapons that just do not perform. nothing against the weaponcrafters...I just don't think weapons are what they should be.

Weake, couldnt agree more with your statement. Theonly thing the LVA is good for is for carrying around town.

Sorry to say you must have some bad VL or LVA or are you using specials in combat?
I just use sweep with a RCS and just auto attack with a LVA and I hog all the xp. I have to use a RCS to keep my damage down if i want to let others get xp.

I use an LVA for normal attacks and a VL for sweeps. I just find the LVA misses too much for the HAM cost. As far as armor is concerned, I use the VL in PVP, I two shot incap naerly everyone I fight.

we hit just fine once u get your accuracy mods higher up in tree but this knockdown things gonna kill us. they keep making us weaker with every patch because some whiner in pvp i dont even pvp. but knockdown is a must in high end mob killing which is totally being ignored because of the pvp whining about knockdown

lol, use LVA, gah, sweep1, polearmhit3, and the fight is over.......and u lose like....not much life.....dont wear armor when u fight, or just wear things like gloves, and bracers, as a pikeman, armor hurts u more then it helps u
