I love whoever is working on this class. You can tell that even they don't play it.

Just got outta battle. Landed 1 hit out of 20.. ya, died twice. Should just stop wasting my time and become another mindless zombie and play ranged.

Ever notice how these games tend to always be one-sided?

and what level of pikeman are you? did you read the rest of the board for tips? what weapon you using and what skills are you using, what where you hunting?

well, i see what your getting at rand. but unfortunatly, for pikes, the masters experiance the same problems that the novices have.

i dont miss more than once out of every 3 shots now.. actually, i hit alot.. *shrug*

I am a 4/1/3/3 Pikeman and going three swings withough a miss is the rarity for me, I am able to miss 6 times in a row easy. I checked this morning and i have +80 to accuracy....i'd hate to see my accuracy without that......i

Cheese.. i used to be a rifleman.. and honestly, my stats are still set up for that.. i only picked up pike a week or 2 ago. i play to have fun, if i was playing to be the top of the top, man, i would be a butthunter or a cornando... i started off3 months ago being a pikeman when i first started playing.. but i had changed my mind.. now im back to it.. i love the class, i love the moves, i dont know.. even with rifle, i never had most of the problems that most people complained about.. i beat a pistolier (same ranks as i was in the pistoleer tree) and we where both point blank.. and i beat him.. go figure.. he was amazed to say the least.. im only a 1-0-0-0 novice pikeman.. only reason i can take damage is because im a master doctor too.. so i can buff myself before i go hunting. i play to have fun, i dont play to win.. but dying over and over again isnt fun. i know what its like. i have always been a medic/doctor.. my combat has changed.. pikeman to rifleman to pikeman again.. first time pike i only made it to polearms II before i swapped to rifle.. i havent had more fun in this game since i swapped back to my origional template.. and btw.. before buffs.. my stats are kinda low

so see, im set up for doctor.. not pikeman. seriously.. find a master doc, get a full set of buffs.. go hunt then.. it will be sooo much funner for you.. and the reason i hit alot, is i use almost all specials.. not normal attacks.

Sounds like you guys rely on the LVA to much. Its accuracy mods at this point are just to horrible to be using it. Use a VL or a regular Lance untill they fix this accuracy mods. Otherwise be prepared to miss more then you hit. At master, I rarely ever miss unless I try to equipt my LVA.

Sadly, I miss more with my VL than my LVA.. *shrug* and my LVA got sliced for speed, so its only a 3.2 100-360 damage.. my VL is 3.9 speed 105-345 slived for damage. *shrug* dont ask..

i got my VL sliced for damage. right now it's almost as good as an unsliced LVA as far as damage, and a lot better to hit bonus (and electricity).

pikeman is hard, but what fun is playing the game knowing that all you have to do is press F3 for eyeshot or F3 for flame cone and never get into trouble?

always root for the underdog.

we do need some tweaking though.

I tossed my LVA in the toilet. The HAM use alone will kill you if you don't have buffs up.

For Cheese, I would like to know what your hunting and your skill level. Maybe if you post where you are on the tree we can help you out. I am a casual player and am in no way twinked out.

Include your HAM stats too if you could.

I can gaurantee that the missing and such goes away by the time you reach master, but the damage stays the same basically so... that's my real gripe. At master I still miss 1 in 2 shots, I can handle that, I have a 1.2 atk speed from what I can tell, but I still get rocked because I only hit for 300-700 damage, in PvP it's a total joke, I hit for 150 while rifles/whatever are one shotting people. Even with polearmhit3 it's a joke, I think when they nerfed knockdown it also reduced the damage for polearm3 by 100-200 pve.

1 out of 20? Sounds like an incredible run of bad luck.. I have no polearm accuracy mods from the pikeman tree yet and I have a much better hit ratio - without a log parser (anyone seen one for SWG yet) I couldn't tell you exactly what it is though.. I do have runs of 4-5 misses at a time occaisonally, and those times can make the problem seem worse than it is.

If polearm accuracy modifiers work 1:1 with the accuracy modifiers of the weapon, then in theory at least, a novice pikeman with an LVA or VL shouldn't miss much more than a novice brawler with a wooden staff, since we have around +40-50 accuracy in the brawler tree and a futher +10 at master brawler?

And of course, theres the point to be made that they have acknowledged the accuracy problems, and heres hoping theres a fix in the large TC update thats going up today

Malqanar, I'm hand parsing some logs atm froms everal combat sessions. I've figured Ih ave a 43% hit ratio fighting white con giant baz nitches with two pets as tanks. Master Pikeman, are atrocious, atm. Fun to look at though.
