Thread: Jedi vs Pikeman in the CU

I've been playing this game a long time. I refused to grind holos or become a Jedi. Now that the CU is coming, I fear that Jedi will be even stronger then before. As of right now, I can hold my own verse a Jedi (that dosen't force run around like Flashfrom Justice League). I have alot of friends that are Jedi and have been speaking with players that have been on TC testing alot of stuff. Granted if you worked hard to get a Jedi, then you should be a powerful combatant. But what about those that remain loyal to the games original professions and remained non-Jedi for so long. Is it true a Master JediDefender has 300+ Melee/Ranged defence in CU? With Force Armor and defence food in the CU, fighting is going to be even harder. Granted Pikeman do get Warcry and Intimidate in CU, but if combat is changed for a balance, won't force running Jedi just slaughter everything with their sabres? I also feel bad for CH's out their. Either someone is blowing smoke up my butt, but 20k one hit kills on deadly pets? Granted lightsabres do cut through everything except energy shields in the movies, but unless PSG's are crafted with sabre defence and not just bugged, the balance of the CU will be all for nothing. The last TELL I got last night from a friend was: "Dude you should of grinded more...Jedi will own the CU." Distrubing...most disturbing.
Ok, I am losing my composite armor that is filled with attachments. I have attachments now in storage that are usless to me after the CU. From a realistic stand point due to melee, we will get mid-grade armor to only wear now. All my DOT weapons and my ADK sweet LVAare going to get the royal borking. I remain a loyal non-Jedi for what reason?
Even in the old times, the most elite Knight on horse could be taken out by 1 arrow/bolt from a archer out of his sight. A Master Commando shooting a high explosive rocket at a guy dressed in robes should equal only one thing...POOF!
CU or FU...which is it?

From the sounds of things, you'll never get a chance to fight a Jedi ... the instant a Jedi get visibility, they're dead. There was a group of 2-3 BHs one-shotting Jedi bounties last night on TC-Bria.

from what I have been hearing if you try to go toe to toe with a jedi you will be smoked. But if you go in as a group the jedi has no chance.

i dueled a few jedi tc bria its 2 hit kills if your lucky to make it past the first hit. But nobody knows if jedi are even set up how they r gonna be when it goes live so I wouldnt freak out yet.

get +25 in pike speed...pick up master brawler and master pikes and get melee speed....then get a high dmg lance (NSEL or massassi), you will own...i pulled a mission on a jedi on TC-chilastra and i beat them in like 4 hits (first was a kd, second was bleed, 3 and 4 were impale) ... i only have +10 in attachments, +9 in melee speed.

Was is it a double master jedi? I tried dueling some jedi's with master powers master defender and could barely land a hit with +15 speed and +15 accuracy.

Lightsaber damage is going out the door. Lightsabers will do Energy damage in CU, with an elemental added on by the color crystal used. Armor will help us, unlike now. And dont get too hooked on the idea that defense foods will still work.. I think that was one of the things they intended to change.

notice the one you fought mas a master defender....even at my current state on live, it took me like 20 minutes to widdle a master defender down...its damn hard lol.

Most jedi are NOT Master Defender on my server at least.. Master Lightsaber, Master Healer is the common template. Makes for a lot of hard-hitting jedi that fall down pathetically easy due to smart and shrewd Pikemanship.

I witnessed a pikeman take out a jedi with ease actually. Strategy man... strategy. Ya got to have strategy. Tank until his force bar is down to nothing. Then, go in for the kill. Just make sure you heal. lmao.
