IMO this is for the better. ALL pikemen had a 800 or higher LVA, our profession has the most uber weapons out of any other professions. Making the LVA worse will help balance us. Yes, the riflemen still have their uber t21's, yes the swordsmen still have their high dmg PH's, but the number of high dmg VL's will be matched with those, balancing it. It sucks, I admit it as I have a 1100 max 2.4spd LVA, but is better for the game.

Oh please. Theres 3 or 4 weapons in the game that drop occasionally with *insane* damage on them. You guys didn't ONCE before dropping 10-20 million credits consider that this "Combat Upgrade" thing they kept talking about might fix that? We knew from the start that it was going to try to "balance things." It didn't cross anyone's mind as they were buying these things that they may be a bit unfair in the overall scheme of things and get changed later on?
I lost plenty of money myself, mostly on DOTs, armor, and skill tapes. I sympathize with losing money, but really.. everytime you buy something its a gamble. Thats as true in-game as it is in real life. And I think the game is going to be better off because of this.

no....this is totally wrong. swordsmen still have their UBER PHs, Fencers still have their UBER stun batons, riflemen still have their UBER t21s, pistoleers still have their UBER de10s, commandos still have their UBER flame throwers, BHs still have their UBER stuff....this all leads down to three professions not keeping their uber stuff....pikemen, carbineers (cuz i havent seen how these converted), and TKMs(getting new weapons, not too many uber VKs that are around anyway)
they really do need to balance the LVA to the same level that every other profession's UBER weapons are at
(i capitolized uber every time cuz i felt like it

No, that's quite wrong. Our Vibrolances and Energy Lances can all get potentially as good as those 800-max Powerhammers are converting, give or take a VERY little bit. We will not have a problem getting good weaponry.. its just gonna be on par with other master-level weapons. Our 1000+ max damage LVAs will probably be great compared to other Tier III level weapons.. and god forbid we no longer be able to buy our way out of a fight just cause some of us can afford a 40 million credit weapon and the opponent cannot.

it's called character development in a RPG where you get better and better equipmentit's how you define your character over the other. In your example do you think those 40million credit's were easilly attained. I want the dev's to stick to what they said what was great before will be great after. And i don't mean by an extra 10dps when i was 5* norm, pull me down to 2-3* the dps standard crafted stuff. Give us some benefit of exceptional equipment.

just because some can afford 40 million cred weapons and others cant is no reason to nerf it
the rich work for their money.. if the poor dont work for it, too bad, they could have gotten 30+ mill as easily as i have

I agree with the idea of balance for the most part. I spent six months hunting elders as a swordsman so I would have uber pikes to pvp with. I have two 1250+ dmg LVA's, many 300 tick poison and fire pikes, and a set of no-decay comp armor that is stacked with pikeman mods/defenses. I worked hard for all that but it's all going down the tube. Yeah it sucks, but it'll be nice to pvp and not get targeted first for a change.

Two or three times as powerful as a crafted weapon is still horribly unbalanced and overpowered. Top-end looted weapons can't be too much better than crafted weapons or we're right back into the same awful position of crafted weapons being totally worthless.
Uber weapons were killing PvP and causing major kill-stealing and loot-hoarding stupidity in PvE. Yeah it'll be a little sad when my exceptional weapons become weapons that are just slightly better than average, but so what? They were game-breaking, they had to go eventually.
That "character development" horse has been beaten to death, by the way. I could eBay 40 million credits easily, doesn't mean I developed my character one bit.
