This is the worst melee class in the game it cannot compete with a TKA,Swordsman,fencer here is why.

1. Uses to much ham on moves

2. Misses hits over 50% of the time.

3. Lacks the speed of a tka or fencer

this class needs work major work.

I couldnt agree more. Ive never seen so many "misses" The weapons are cool and do some pretty good damage but when you throw in all those misses the weapons are prob hitting for around a cdef carbine. I also had no idea the amount of xp needed to gain master, WHOA.

Don't use theLVA until you have more skills... It's just too inaccurate until early on. Use the lance until you can use a LVL. You'll pretty much use that all of the time, unless your opponent is unarmor. Then it makes sense to switch over to the LVA, but only if you're well on your way to mastery.

Yeah...don't use LVA yet....

at the point you first get the certification for the LVA, you will hit about 1/2 the time with your regular lance, but using the LVA will make it more like 1/12 of the time.....

You really can't win untill you get high into pikeman, you eaither do measily damage with the lance or miss constantly with the LVA.....the VL might be a happy medium you can use well for a short while before you are ready for the LVA.

i dont get why you people complain... if you dont like the class then dont do it. if its for holocron, screw being jedi, even with all the profs mastered your not gonna have a big chance to unlock your fs slot...

it may also take into account on your species (the accuracy that is). im a trandoshan and i hit more than i miss... about 75% hit 15%miss 10% blocked/ couter-attacked by the enemy O_o

ive been using my VL against mobs, and LVA against single targets, but it doesnt matter much anyway becuase im 24/7 buffed or atleast try to be, and i use Moun like mad... and fishak when i find some

1. HAM is not an issue. either get buffed or use food. simple as that.

2. i use my LVA, and i'm hitting things constantly. try using intimidate first. i think that makes them easier to hit.

3. i got my VL sliced to 2.6 speed and my LVA sliced to 3.2 speed. add some speed power-ups to that, and i'm fast.

i'm liking pikeman. got bored with my alt toon and decided to give this a shot. can't wait til i master this. i recently looted an NS lance with 1.4 speed and some crazy disease and poison mods to it. that should be fun.

oh yeah, forgot to add that i'm only 0,4,2,2 in pikeman right now.

we should be the melee support class i guess, parasites who couldnt live on their own.

I have always loved this class, but the real pikeman here complain because we are clearly the worst combat profession. Holo-pikemen may move on after all is said and done, but for the dedicated pikemen... we want to be more equal with the other melee classes. You can buff all you want, but if you fight a TK with equal buffs and equivalent levels, you will only win if your opponent does not know how to use their character. A pikeman was supposed to specialize in area attacks, but they are suicidal in a real fight. Also, we were supposed to deal the highest damage, but a swordmans with a powerhammer will outdo you every time. It is not a broken class, but it is in no way equal...

pikeman is a lot of fun, we suffer in speed and accuracy compared to the other melee classes, but we do good damage, have good range and can hit multiple targets. id like to see some better center of being skill mods though

nightsister stronghold on dathomir. bring a lot of friends, a combat medic, a doctor that can rez, and you might find 1 or 2. just beware of that last room.

and i am not a holo pikeman. i just got bored of my old template and started this up. been dropping skills as i gain more in this. i have 2 accounts, the first being a master commando/master tka. i have friends that are master heavy swordsman and blademasters. i know how strong other melee classes are. but this class isn't the worst because the reasons listed above. honestly, i don't know why i hit a lot with my LVA, but if i'm an odd case, then ok, pikemen can't hit. but i can clear out a piket longhorn/huurton howler/voritor/savage quenker solo without any buffs or uber kinetic armor. /shrug
