Hello,

My objective is to become a Pikeman/Creature handler.

Do you think it is a viable path ?

For this purpose, is it better to start with scout or brawler according to their attributes ?

I'm not sure but I would guess what ever you use the most would be best (i.e creature handler, scout. pikeman, brawler). If you plan on using them equally, I would sugest that you become Brawler from the get go, so that you can fight better with monsters if you get in trouble, or people who get on your nerves...

Good comments here. I would actually suggest you start by choosing Scout, the only difference is you get better starting gear. Then you can buy brawler right away for 100 creds.

Although I think the fact that we're aiming for pikemen (pikewomen) at all makes us rather unique in our own right. So what if we're all being chased by a bunch of critters at the same time? It's, like, the perfect combo.

I also started with brawler as well. *and* im wookie which those 2 professions seem to benefit greatly from.

If you are on the Eclipse Server. Syr Maru makes a 49-106 4.3 reinforced combat staff. That thing kicks. All the best materials available were used in its construction and can still be improved, just need to find a different wood.

I first started as an Artisan , then Marksman and Scout, then picked up Brawler. Now I am a (Box 3) Polearm, working Scout to be a creature handler, and am dropping my Marksman abilities, when I need to of course. I found a guy on Radiant that can make Lances so I do in the 600's now eith special moves.

I am also a Survey Specialist and Engineer Sepcialiast and Droid Engineer. I planed on the CH/DE combo, and fell in love with the Polearm. 250,000 XP for Pikeman, Yikes!

Looks like a lot of us think a like.

This is my combo also. We are few and far between, buts it's cool that there will be other c.h/pikepeople out there. I'll probably throw in medic too. Good luck everyone!!

Yea i wanted this too... i started off with marksmen though just to get things going....

how does strength effect my use of the polearm though cause i have a zabrak with really really low strenght like 300 or something. .. anyway i can always migrate my question is though when we get big pets... its going to be hard to focus on one mob with 3 big pets and yourself surrounding it. lol
