I agree in general, but it was the CM's, not the pikemen, who werealmost entirelyresponsible IMO, and they appear not to be getting nerfed.

Disagree....DOTs should have only been for CM's to begin with....DOT weapons was very stupid.

all DOTs, or any other moves that can't really be stopped, are stupid

If you read it you will see that i am not saying that dots don't ruin this game...

but i'm saying how hard i've worked to get these lances which i meanly use in PVE and i'm having them basically deleted from me...

I feel your pain, don't get me wrong. I've spent millions upon millions on only the best items in the game and I don't think half of them are going to convert too well.


We just have to wait and see. Just don't know what they are going to do yet.

think we know DOT's are going, enough tips by sandboxers going read between the lines. This ain't reading that deep. Of course we do not know conversion formulas etc but I'd guess it will be working on damage level/speed/damage type basis as this is easily programmable. How would you calc Duration of Time conversions for a weapon in the new system. Conjecture on my part I know. Just please we look like we are getting tank status (again reading between lines I'm assuming that means our ability to soak up damage is being fixed).

Actually from what I "heard" *cough* Dots should be conformed to something like a Secondary damage type.


The won't do DOT anymore...but they should still be Uber.

No all Dots that a NOVICE BRAWLER / MARKSMAN all the way throw MASTER XXX is stupid. Combat Medics have to put a lot of SP's into using DOTS....while some chump with millions of credits can by a Mind Fire 500+ Stone Knife and use it at Novice Brawler.

Dot weapons are stupid, not an expensive CM Ability. And they are not unstoppable...Any brainchild running around in PVP without a doctor is just STUPID.

however i just gotta point out that jedi overusing FD nerfed smugglers most valuable skill. and it seems that the reg players have nerfed CM's skills. although the new type of DoTs sound awesome. area "slows" and area blinds etc. cant wait for TC!

Well, the difference with a pikeman is that he has do come into close range to DOT you. BTW, the CM grind is supposed to be one of the easiest in the game, easier than getting a mind fire stone knife at least (not that you see too many of them being used anyway). Meh, ancient history soon. . . and fine with me if all DOTs go, as I said.
