Well I know many of use are all feeling the stress of losing so many good weapons in the CU conversion/DOT nerf.

What has everyone been using?

Both my NSEL's converted over to still be weaker then a 1k damage VL I have.

Been using a 900+ VL with PU's for quests. Everything else just doesn't seem to cut the mustard.

Anyone have good tests with cold or shock pike/lances?

I have found that a few of the new quest pikes look cool, but just don't pack a punch.

Anyone get lucky and get that rare 5% shock bonus to work with their pike when equiping the cyber arm? Whats with the long cool down warm up time? EEwwwwwww!

Seems my VL is doing the job. I guess all these quest weapons where for hanging on your wall in your home or selling for money. Why bio-link a quest weapon when a Master crafter can make something better. Makes no sense.

Also I just read that with patch 17, PU's will be made better? This correct? Pop an ADK on my 1k VL and use great PU's for the win. Weapons need to be more diverse or allow WS's to craft better elemental damage items!

All I see Master Sword players carrying are PH's...everyone is a weapon clone!

Light Sabres require Pearls & Crystals for energy and elemental damage. Why can't melee weapons be moddified with crystals for better elemental damage. They could be 1/2 the power of a Jedi enhanced weapon depending on the crystal quality, this way Jedi won't complain. Imagine a LVA modified with a blue crystal for extra cold damage? Would be nice!

Without diversity we all mimic the same working flavor.

i use a 900 some odd VL with a 1.65 or .55modded speed and a DPS of i think 286.something

it does its job and im alright with it. i wish for a good quest pike tho

is a 1000+dmg and/or 300+ DPSpike possible?

bladesick has a ton of damage at a low speed.

Yeah, one of mine is 500 dps ish, the pre-cu crafted VL's seem to be your best bet.

Versus a [Master Defender] Jedi, the only option is Kinetic damage. Your best Vibrolance or Energy Lance won't do a damn thing. Use a Kashyyyk Bladestick, or get Master Swordsman and use a Power Hammer or something.

Yeah, the bladestick is really a very decent weapon.

I do have a couple VLs that beat it out slightly, but as a kinetic choice it's wonderful.

i use a 1040 dmg VL with 300 some odd base dps..it seems to do the job just great

I got a 338 base dps VL for PVP or important/hard fights... and I have a set of 305 or so base dps lances for regular fights and found them for about 12k each but sliced myself w/ my bros smuggler, then i have the usual poop weaps for grinding... armor seems to be the biggest setback for me now since i dont have points for TKM anymore being Master Pike/Doc and Force Skills... goin thru armor fast and it aint cheap since the big "cheap" armor suppliers have mostly quit

Found my VL with base DPS 306 on the market of my server and with Master Pikeman it's a 496DPS looking all day on market an vendors and have talked to some weapon smith noone has crafted something more then that on our server

Bought a 332 base DPS / 95 SAC VL on one of the first days of CU for 100K, i think i got a bit lucky with that.

I use the Bladestick for damage dealing over longer time (lower SAC)
