I always go buffed, and have found not having medic no great problem. If a enemy eats into my Heal Action or Mind, I munch on a muon or pixie as a last resort. I take biod brandy, as well as food..power boost, and then go kill.

The downsides of this build....ranged attacks hurt bad. I mainly do PVE. PVE, I can solo everything apart from Elders and Krayts.

Ive got all my stats migrated to mind, ie; Mind 1100, focus 800, willpower 1100. I choose the human species because it seems to be the best all round. No faction penalties, I can wear all armour etc.

The benefits of having multiple combat proffesions does have its uses. Swordsman can hit the mind with Blast Damage, Kinetic, Pikeman is good for multiple opponents, electricty damage, kinetic, energy. TKA gives me power boost, force of will, and alows me to meditate all wounds.

I suppose if I wanted a template with better defense, I should really drop Pikeman, and go Fencer, but were is the fun in that?

Id say your current template is about right if you want to keep to pure melee PVP Pikeman, and only use Pikeman. Your Ranged and Melee defense is maxed out I beleive, so theres not much more you can do there. I do think to be truly effective in PVP at the moment you unfortunately need to be hitting the mind, but as you said, your a Pikeman, so thats not going to happen. Overall if you are wanting to purly use Pikeman to kick ass, you aint going to get much better then your current template.

MIGHT drop Artisan, and Medic down to 2-0-0-0 and replace it with TKA 4-0-0-0. Not sure if I want to lose my First Aid IV yet, but after being diseased for three HOURS last night, I'm ready for meditation

I've still got a buncha brawling skills, but I've surrendered Master Brawler recently.

Pikers really can't pvp anyway, so I'm building a pve character <shrug> And Creature Handler has been useless in pvp for months. But in pve, it does fine for me, pet usually keeps the baddies off me long enough to drop them (though I will concede that CH works best with a ranged prof complementing it, not melee prof). Plus area attacks aggro the crap outta me, so I don't use them unless I'm buffed up. Still swingin a regular ole LVA - no fancy drops here.

Useless build for you pvp types, but it's fine for pve.

pike/doc only riflemen can kill me unless I'm unlucky

Not great money thoe but I killed abouth 50 krayts and sold the pearls for xx millions so i don't have to bother abouth that

As long as people don't run up hills, I can take them out. Have trouble with the rifles if I don't have the right helmet with me, and TKMs if they beat me in the dizzy/kd contest.

Rollie- i wonder how do you earn your cash ?, you only have fighting skills. So your not harvesting meat or selling stuff so how do you get by. I got myself a house to maintain and was wondering how you get by
