I really hit the "Master Wall" hard this time at 1.5 weeks to master.......and now im looking for something to do, and while I wait for my harvesters to pull up enough steel for me to grind one tree in Weaponsmith and then on to Master, I wanted to go on a quest to find Nightsister lances........LVA, lances, VL, whatever.........I would like to request of the experienced Pikeman to please relay as much information as possible about these =0). Where, who, how, where, what, when....where......

Thanks in advance......

P.S. I know I really sound like a holo person now, but I really am not...lol....I just end up powergaming alot =0)

This is exactly what I am doing right now. I am on Datrhomir at the top outpost. If you swim across the river you hit that big mountain. Around there are a bunch of NS and there are some you can get missions from. They will give you missions for a lot of things including killing other NS. I am hoping by doing this I will aquire something of the sort you are looking for. Good luck to ya'.

I had a 4-page writeup on this and accidentally hit "back", losing all of what I wrote. When I get the heart to write it again, I'll post it all. *sigh* How frustrating.

My mini-guide to hunting nightsisters for fun and profit (mostly profit):

I hunt nightsisters a lot. I have been searching for (exceptional) or (legendary) or just nice polearms and a bracer from them for a long time, so I hope what I have written here helps you and others some.

My primary hunting grounds is the area SW of the Trade Outpost (the northern one) from the Nightsister vs. Singing Mountain Clan battlefield (-2515, 1435). On your way out to the battlefield, you might sometimes pass a few sisters here and there. No big groups, just the occasionaly single or duo hanging around. Now, as you approach the battle site, hit ctrl+m for the overhead map. The hut on the SE is the nightsister side, the NW is the mt. clan side. (Notes about mt. clan: If you have good faction with them, which you will, they will many times heal you while fighting alongside against a nightsister. Neither they nor their rancors deathblow, so do not panic if you are incapped by one, it is safer to be incapped by a mt. clan than a nightsister.)

If you are the first one there after a full respawn, you will have to walk up to the battlefield slowly to get everyone to spawn to start the battle. A lot of red dots will pop up unexpectedly, so do not get too close, but make sure you get the majority if not everyone to spawn. Once the battle begins, tab through everyone to make sure they are all engaged, once this happens, you are free to jump in without being aggro'ed. Depending on your skills and backup, it is your choice as to when to attack. You will find here: Sentries, Rangers, Sentinels, Rancors and one Spell Weaver. I will talk more about the types of nightsisters later. The good thing about the battlefield is that you can attack while the target is busy fighting off 1 or more others and then loot and run to the next. If done right, you will have little-to-nothing to fear. (Also be sure to check the debris piles, oftentimes there is milk or a skill tape there) Respawn rate is 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.

After clearing the battlefield of nightsisters, I set my waypoint to the Nightsister Fortress (-4085, -90). On your way there, you will always encounter many roaming groups of various nightsisters. This is nightsister land and so they are always here and there. Groups can be such as: a group of Stalkers or Outcasts, a group of Initiates and Slaves, a group of 1-2 Spell Weavers, a coupl of Sentinels and Initiates, a group with 1-2 Spell Weavers, 2 Sentinels, 2 Protectors and 1-2 Elders, etc. etc. etc. Be warned, these groups always occur in numbers of 4+ and the respawn rate is very fast. If you don't pull your target(s) away form the original spawn point, the ones you just killed will pop back up beside you as you fight the remaining ones, ending your trip very quickly. Watch out for Gaping Spider and Rancor Lairs. Choose your group depending on your skills and backup assistance. This area likes to spawn so many things that your path will close off, so watch out for that. I like to run around in this region until the battlefield respawns.

The fortress is quite difficult and impossible without some heavy backup. Expect to find several groups of Initiates, Sentinels, Protectors, Slaves and the one static Elder spawn. Lots and lots of nightsisters ready and willing to tear your head off en masse. Respawn rate is once per server reset from what I've seen.

Also available for hunting is the Nightsister Spider Cave (-1200, 6250) with no real nightsisters, the mountain north across the river always has random groups of nightsisters roaming around, but not as predictably or concentrated as my preferred grounds. There is also the Slave Camp east of the Science Outpost, but I have not yet been here (don't know why) and misplaced the wp, it's not in my datapad. Once I find it and visit, if it is worthy, I'll add it to this, maybe.

The ladies themselves:

There are several varieties: Slaves, Sentries, Initiates, Rangers, Rancor Tamers, Sentinels, Protectors, Spell Weavers and Elders. The best loot I get comes from Rangers, Rancor Tamers, Sentinels, Protectors, Spell Weavers and, of course, Elders. If nothing else, you should get a lot of credits.

Initimidate is the first thing you should do when attacking, because all the above mentioned nightsisters hit for a lot of damage. Get that intimidate on right away. Also, try to avoid as much as possible aggro'ing more than one at a time. Having 2+ sisters attacking you is not a good situation. For ones Sentinels and above, I hit the intimidate, then stack action bleeds and action poison if available through a previously pilfered polearm. Hit3 a time or two to see which pool gets hit. If action, I spam leghit, if health and she is not an Elder, I just spam hit3. I can usually go through Rangers and Sentinels in 3-5 hits, Spell Weavers in 6-8 hits because they have 10-15% kinetic resists.

Spell Weavers and Elders heal themselves a lot, with Elders healing about 2-3k HAM per heal, making them very difficult. Elders are the top-of-the-line models running at roughly 30k HAM, 100% kinetic and electricity resists. Lately, the only way I've been able to defeat them is by killing their mind. At the end of a 10 minute fight, their health and action are at nearly 75% because of the heals. Fighting 2 of these at a time is really not the best idea you can come up with unless you have 2-3 AT-STs. One Elder constantly intimidated can take a single AT-ST down 1/4-1/3 by herself, and they are never found alone.

Buffs are a very very very good idea, at the very least, muon and tatooine sunburns are needed, because you will most likely want to hit the specials a lot. High kinetic Ubese works reasonably well, but the problem is that Nightsisters love to hit you from 50+m and run, and you will often have a couple come at you for melee, and a couple stand back shooting from range (bad scenario). Tanks of some type are pretty much necessary except on the battlefield.

Try your best to pull as few as possible away from a group. Sometimes this works, other times they will follow for a little bit, fire a couple of times, then run back to the group to get the rest to follow. If they all or most start coming at me then and they are far enough away from the original point, I just go for it and try to take out the easier ones as quickly as possible. If they stay at range shooting and don't seem to want to get closer, you might as well go for it. Sentinels and Rangers sometimes have a bad habit of taking off running, don't chase, this always leads to distaster because of running into more groups of nightsisters or aggro'ing whole lairs of gaping spiders, etc. Retarget and go after another nightsister, but watch the one that ran off - if she comes back and starts firing again, either try to move if she stays at range in a dnagerous place, or go after her again (a lot of times they will stand their ground now). Always watch out for other groups popping up. I personally like to keep the overhead radar on so I can see positions better.

Anything below Sentinels can be KD'ed fairly easily and regularly, Sentinels and above resist KDmost of the time and nearly all of them resist dizzy all the time, so I don't even try that.

Be watchful of the area and nightsisters nearby, bleed big ones, KD if possible, always intimidate, tanks are necessary because of the groupings, good armor and stat enhancers are necessary. Just be smart about it all and you can stay out there for days without dying.

Hope this helps some. If I think of new things, I'll add them here and there. I think I covered everything I was wanting to so far.

goto the "Nightsister Mines" at around 2544, -1584

i get all my loot out of these mine's, and usually am not dissapointed, get a few drops per spawn, its about a 1 hour respawn time i think

i am a master pikeman, master brawler, master TKA, 4/0/0/0 fencer, and 1/0/3/0 medic right now, and i could solo the entire cave and the things outside without a pet, so most of the stuff wont give u TOO much of a problem

BUT......i ended up fighting the Elder for 20 minutes, yes, a 20 minute long fight, the elder is 100% to everything except blast and energy, so ur VL, ur stun baton, ur LVA, anything, wont do anything against this lady

maybe it was just bad luck, but i couldnt land 1 dizzy on her at all, the entire fight, warcry and intimidate worked ok, and i was able to knock her down a few times, but i didnt get a dizzy on her at all

she has like 28k HAM, i used actionhit2 and actionhit1 on her while she was KD, so i had like 5k-6k action damage ticking off of her head every few seconds, but she also HEALS herself, so the action would drip down to like 4k,and she would heal herself right back up to 20k action

since i had no cert's at all (my republic blaster was missin every shot against her) for anything that could hit her, i basically just had to stand there and try to wear her down, well, then, my powerboost wore off so my stats dropped down to normal about 1/2 way through the fight, and she got in a lucky hit for 2k damage (that somehow hit the armor hole they were supposed to have fixed, /sigh) and so i got a trip to the cloning center, after 20 minutes of fighting

after that experience, im dropping my med skills except for novice medic, and going to pick up novice swordsman so that i wont be hung out to dry like that again (blast dmg from power hammer)

other then that tho, bring some friends, just fair warning, so u dont get stuck on the elder like i did

A small addition: all of the upper-level nightsisters have 100% electricity resists and all but Elders have low kinetic (10-20%), so stick with the LVA. Also, you might as well loot the rancors you kill, you occasionally get some rancor teeth that you could sell off to a weaponsmith or swordsman.

antares, that is an excellent summary.

As with everything, but especially in this case, the key is picking your target. If you're grouped and happen to run upon an Elder and Spellweaver, let the rangedand swordsmenhandle the elder, and you and whatever other melee characters are there take the Spellweaver.

So you never kill the mountainclan? You are aware that they too can drop some pretty good items? I always clear that entire area except for the MountainClan Arch Witch which just like the Nightsister Elder is 100% kientic and a healingmachine. On the other hand, it would be nice not to get aggroed by any mountainclans. How do you get mountain clan faction? I mean, I m not sure, but they seem to kill me all the time no matter how much faction I got with them

I do kill them, but I have never looted anything from them except credits, personally, so I don't really bother with them much. Even if you have 5k faction with them, which you will before clearing half of the nightsisters on the battlefield, they will still aggro you...but if you jump in fighting a nightsister that they are fighting too, certain ones will step over and give you a heal every-now-and-then. Plus, as I said, they don't deathblow, so even if you do get aggro'ed it's nothing much to panic about.

I saw that with the next publish, they are implementing the nightsister and singing mt. clan theme parks. Should be interesting!

100% resists to everything mean one thing. Commando. *cough*

Not a creature or man among us can resist the onslaught of a flame dot. Rancors, Krayts, Grauls, Night Sisters, no one.
