Folks, I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else has noticed this problem, but I suck ..... again. Having been a master piker for about a month now, I've been enjoying my newfound love of the pike due to all the varying mods that have made quite a skilled fighter. My low speed from my weapons had ceased to be a problem due to my speed mods. My low defensive skills had ceased to be a problem because of my defense mods and COB. And of course my huge accuracy mods from my weapon hadn't really bothered me as much because the added boost from master. Having attained the rank of master pikeman I found myself rarely (if ever) missing a target in combat. Even dueling became somewhat easier due to the fact that I could actually hit things now.

Well that came to an abrupt halt tonight. A friend was holo-hunting and I thought I'd help out. He was going after rebel surface marshalls after hearing they had holos. Now up to now a large rebel base was no challenge whatsoever. It was something to do when I needed some cash. After attacking the first base I realized something was wrong. KD was taking several swings to connect. My polearmhit 3 did nothing more then make pretty swooshy things in the air, and I was taking actual damage from these guys. On one npc alone I counted as many as 6 consecutive misses. I mean I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat. I've not had an experience like this since eons ago as a novice.

Now I don't know if its me, I don't know if its the patch,I don't know what it is. What I do know is I suck again. I actually had to use my vibro lance on several guys just to KD them. Guys let me know if I'm the only one out there that has noticed some weird **edit**e since the patch. I really do miss being good and I'd like to be good again.

Its the creature balance...they said things will be very out of wack when its published, and wont truly be working right until the 4 part of the balance patchs..ie the Profession patch...

I managed to whiff on a kreetle 6 times!!! i counted. man how embarrasing, thing actualy hit me twice lol,, i agree somthin way off center.....

well. . .umm we got new glowie effects. . . that's improvement right?

Except mine are pink instead of red as they used to be...

I actually miss the red ones. If a noob passed by and saw me doing a special he'd stop and stare for a minute. I even got asked if I was a Jedi once, lol...

I didn't have any problems with lung2 last night. . . worked just like normal for me.

Some worked some didn't.

It may have something to do with the MOBS you were killing.. bu hard to tell.

I'm still working up the Pikeman tree, 0/0/3/3 currently, and have put in some good hours the day before and day after the patch. I've been killing those poor dogs on Dantooine exclusively during this time. (hey, they may be man's best friend, but each Huurrton Huntress gives 3500 XP a pop, so I'm trying to single-handedly eradicate this species from the server).I did not see any noticable changes to my accuracy after the patch when killing these things. This could be explained by a few things:

1. Since I'm 0/0/3/3 I don't have a lot of extra accuracy mods yet that could have been tuned (read: nerfed)

2. There were no changes to the Huurrton's defensive abilitiesin the patch, while other MOBs may have got a defensive/doge increase

3. I may not know what I'm talking about and I'm slowly going insane

The mele mitigation is a tough call also to figure out if it is working. I fight buffed with my Ubesse armor, so the Huurrton's were not really hitting me that hard before the patch. I can't tell if the mitigation makes it that much better, but it certainly does not seem to have hurt (given this isolated type of MOB).

Yeahh I was killing stormstropers people and anaimals and i noticed i MISS ALOTR MORE like i was novice again! lol yay

Yeah i am a brawler (master) and all my other skill points go into the various elite professions, with the exception for novice medic. So, I read all the pertinent forums and everyone is having problems too, lunge 2 and any kind of kd just doesnt do the trick anymore.

It is part of the revamp, that was part/phase one. When will phase two come? Who knows but I hope real soon. Phase two I believe addresses the HAM. Then on to phase three which focuses on the weapons and finally phase four, the profession. I am kinda worried though and this is why.

I sit here and look at the game. I study various aspects and then make my informed decisions as to how I will build my character. Well, this is hard to do as the facts surrounding my decisions are constantly changing. Nerf after nerf after nerf make it so difficult.

I like how they nerf everything so they hav somthing to fix for the next 4 months. Mean while we all get to sit here and swing at a kreetle for 10 mintues trying to kill the **edit** thing.

I mean come on as soon as a few complaints go up about somthing being to strong they nerf it. There so busy nerfing they don't fix whats been broken since day one. But they say they are fixxing it now... just we have to sit through 4 months of hell before it gets fixxed... oh yeah thats gonna happen!

sorry i'm a little pissed about this whole rebuild combat system crap. I've already droped all my pikemen but novice cause they refuse to fix it. Once i start hearing good things i will come back... i'm all support stuff now. I can understand they want to fix what the screwed up on but the way they are doing it sucks.
