Hey guys, quick question for you.

How does TKM with its innate armor with with pike? If I wear not armor, but handle a pike, the innate armor should not work. correct?

If so, if I use battle armor for Pike, then the only defense from TKM is the defense skills that I aquire.

So, the only benefit from haveing TKM is the COB and the ability to meditate?

My template right now is listed in my sig, but have been quite curious about the whole TKM thing.

I am a TK/Pikeman, and I do not have to wear armor when wielding a pike. The defenses stack (somewhat) and cross over. There is only a small difference in the stats on my character sheet with different weapons equipped, not enough to worry about, IMO.

Edited because I'm a noob!

Well, I am going to try it as soon as I get off of work.

I assume that the innate armor works, even if you are wearing clothes?

tkm/mpike rocks as long as you are not wearing armor. add the few extra pts for master brawler. it doesn not give you any extra offence that is worth anything but it does give a lot of bonuses.

keep your cob macro on and you will be doing alright!

MTK/Master Pike is a very cool combo. We may lack the damage from Sword or Fencer but this set up has its perks.

COB, Meditate, Stun attack, Dizzy attack, Intimidate, and Warcry.

Also Innate Armor is awesome. No DECAY...no money wasted! Add some good clothing with attachments and your all set!

I love the TKM/Pike template, I've also augmented w/ master Brawler and Swords 0/0/4/4 - just stacking defense & accuracy. I never wear armor, however I've obtained some nice bio-enhanced clothing and food items that add further insurance for survival.

There's a post-curb skill calculator, I believe its on the bloodfin.org site which is awesome in comparing different templates w/ different skills.

After testing battle vs innate with a PSG - the innate wins every time...

That and the fact that you can get yourself some nice BE clothes to get your melee defenses and ranged defenses up as well..

Personally, I prefer MDoc/Mpike/MMedic. In PvE I can do a tank role very well. Usually I can tank 4 level 82's and keep them with the healing. I can also take out a few 80+ elite mobs including Rancors. I made the walk from the Outpost to the Village without incapping. (Just avoid the 4+ groups of elite mobs).

As far as PvP, I could do well against a ranged opponet with root. I could heal fast enough that the damage they were dealing didn't have much effect casue I could heal it just as fast.

The only problem with my set-up is I have to wear armor. Otherwise I do really well.

I'm TKM + Pike+ FS melee speed. I'm an uber tank. I use food+spice and some time whenI must fight TeH rEaL ThInG I use my force crystal (+2000 health for 2 hours) + powerboost omg I get 6k health. Now we're talking about a tank!

So...I can wear a PSG, too?! Damn, I thought I was doing well as a tank without it. MPM/TKM/MM is the best tank I've seen so far. AND I can wear a PSG??? Please confirm this.....
