Whiners, whiners, whiners ... why do you bother? I love this game.

Then, a new bug arrived. Numbers from numerickeys go into the chatbox, at least into the guildie chat box.

Strange, stray characters go into chatbox from Ctrl and from macros hitting ui-buttons.

Hi all,

Ok this publish doesn't add cool stuff like the others publish...

I suppose SOE wanted to do a "Maintenance Publish" as they promised to correct the old time bugs and more. A bunch of people have been hired to speed up the whole developement. That point should have been more explicit, ok.

Those Recyclers are not aimed for all, sure. But don't blame the devs if you don't know all the stuff they surely done behind and you didn't noticed. Well, we'll all have our own opinion about this...

Anyway, about the long update download, if you change a line in a file, you have to download it again. So if the devs modified a lot of files, then .... you have to download them all. Incrementals update can't be applicable as most of the files are compiled.

I prefer to encourage the Devs about all the remaining work rather then complaining. If we could could ideally reach a collaboration between players and devs
Complaining never help; Constructive discussions do.

PS:
and if devs could debug de AS repair bonus, that would be cool.

ok here's my issue after u guys do these patches today now i can't log in. i run windows 98 and everything was fine last night after i logged off. now after i log in and the system does it's update, i hit play and either i get the blue screen of death or i get a message saying theres a problem with swgclientsetup_r. i talked to a csr online and he was no help. any suggestions? jakobite leader of stab.

seems like everytime you guys fix something, something else gets screwed up.

Number pad NEVER, EVER worked for me...

Cant say im dissapointed with this publish. There hasnt been a substantial publish, since 8/31 pub 10 where actual content was added. More bugs, loot still broken, random spawns are hard to find at times, the promised two new planets for JTL have been sucked into a black hole, the list goes on and on and on. My city is starting to be a ghost town with players leaving in disgust. Im still enjoying grinding my Jedi, and im awaiting the CB. If things dont turn around soon, I dont know if I will be able to find a reason to play.

Ya know I am still waiting for the day a patch comes out that fixes bugs and issues in the game without creating new ones.lol Like it wasn't bad enough when they resized the target windows making them uneven where your name is twice as large and the name of your actual target twice as small. Then they play with the inventory and now the number pad keys type in chat. This just is getting better and better by the moment. Oh and not to leave out the village missions weren't working tonight when I logged in for a nice party near the elders where everyone was gathered around complementing the Devs. about how they are really getting thier money's worth. Bloody hilarious indeed, but like the old saying goes when in doubt nerf it to death. I am so looking forward to the combat revamp when everyone REALLY gonna be hollering then cause they gonna need a group to take on Durni's right outside Coronet. ROFL!!!!

I apologise ifI sound overly critical this morning, but getting decent support ingame itself is like going fishing with out any bait. It just ain't gonna happen. The day it does I will probably end up double checking to make sure I logged into the right game. Though when that day does come if ever it will be a nice sight to see and perhaps someone can tell me finally whether or not Bull Rancor Babies still even spawn on Kauri. I think anybody who has hunted them hardcore for a year straight could atleast be told that much to as if they even still exist, but that's just me.

In closing I do wanna say the space game rocks. No real criticism there and coming from a guy who normally only played space sims more then any other type of game and beta tested afew before they hit shelves including JTL I can safely say for the most part you guys have gotten that aspect of the game pretty much on the money. Afew things can be improved upon, but over all it was a most excellent job done on it.

Did anyone else notice that Krayt Dragons are now empty. No scales, no pearls, nothing but pure emptiness. I still crash to desktop, but only twice per buff now. Thx for the Berserker stabilzer fix though, been holding onto that stuff for a while waiting for a cure.

* Since Publish 12 the HAM window (top left) is resized after every restart. On my screen it becomes very small, and I am forced to resize the window several times daily.

* When you disconnect/ctd for any reason, timers in the "Modifiers Window" is removed. This includes all temporary buffs such as Doctor Buff, Entertainer Buff and Food Buff.

* Show Detail World Objects (Options>Graphics) is unclicked every time I restart the game.

* Wildlife on Rori (Corbantis) no longer spawns outside PoI's, probably since JTL.

* When you CTD "Global Terrain Detail" and "Terrain High Detail Range" in Options>Terrain is changed.

* If Enable Bloom (Options>Graphics) is enabled, Anti-Aliasing is removed.

* The game is slow, even on very powerful machines. If this is due to the network code or the graphics engine is difficult for me to tell.

UI Wishes:
* It would be good if there was an option to disable the "Channel Listing Complete" and "Channel Information Complete" messages from tabs where they do not belong.

* It would be good if the "Experience Monitor" could show a numerical value instead of a bar.

---

Still untested with Pub 12:
* In previous versions, if the game freezes, the .UI file is corrupted, causing all options and the UI settings to be reset to scratch.
* If the screensize is changed, all options in the .UI file is removed as well.
* If you ALT+ENTER and ALT+ENTER again, the game instantly crashes.

I will return to more information about this after testing.

Besides that, I also have an annoying sig that looks like part of the post.

Thanks I'll try that, but only temporarily. I like my graphicsthe way they are.I never had a probem until the CTD issues started a few weeks ago. I hope the Devs fix whatever they changed soon.

Ah, some people complain for the sake of it it seems...

"This is not a publish, this is a maintenance patch."

Lots of people WANT bug fixes, and get angry when they get new stuff instead. I know from reading the forums, that many posters (who were not freelance pilots) wereangry with the last publish because they thought the KRayt ship and the new freelancer programs were a waste of time, when they wanted other stuff and bug fixes. So, they give bug fixes, and the other side is angry! By the way, a publish is not defined by content.

"not enough...

we all want a real patch to give interests to gcw... and hurry... "

No "we" all don't. Some of us want bug fixes, some want more space content, some want an imperial hat, and some want more craftables... And, any patch will never be "enough" to some people.

"What about Crash-to-Desktop at anygiven time. OR crash to desktop when useing a shuttle. I creashed to desktop and almost got killed by a BH it is unacceptable and taken away from the game. I dont understand why only 2 crash to desktop situations were fixed. "

Crashes to Desktops, are incredibly hard to track down, as some people never get that, and some always do. Thats like going to the hospital and wondering why all these sick people arent healthy now, with all these doctors about...every case is probably different Finding and squashing two of the CTD is really an accomplishment, and i can bet you they aren't just filing this away as complete. No one wants to be patient, but to find and fix a bug, it takes time, or more bugs will pop up, and can probably mask the original.

"this aint a publish ..............................COME ON NEW CONTENT PLEASE WHICH IS WHAT APUBLISH IS SUPPOSE TO BE

we need ......... new poi's . new weapon's , new high level npc's like krayts, NS ...etc or just something new

......ITS WHAT WE PAY YOU FOR "

Nope. A publish isn't new cool stuff that you will like, it's a new patch that adds something, be it content, a hat, or a bug fix. New Poi's is a publish to you? And what you actually pay for is to be in a playable universe with others, to to have new things tossed to you in a timely manner. You're renting space, not owning it. You're not the boss, just the passenger. You pay a taxi, he takes you to a destination...he won't repaint the car, dress in a monkey suit, install a dashboard dvd player...you paid for a service. And,I call fixing bugs as a service rendered...

"Forget the new POI´s (how boring is that?)"

See?

"WOW, there is nothing new? only a recycler that is a loot that has to be put together like the stupid rugs, and gong?

way to go, you really out done yourselves this time. Where is the Secret Research data for Bio-Engineers that was

supposed to be in the game 9 months ago?"

And, yes, this was written by a bio-engineer. Why not mention the GCW, the Combat Revamp?, Smugglers? BEcause, most posts are personal, if it dosent affect you, it's not a problem, and a waste of time to you if a big gets fixed that you never emcountered. It doent make that patch any less important though. And if a statement like "Nothing new, only a recycler" is like saying "i have never typed the word never, if you dont count this...er...twice"

"Can I just Say THANK YOU! its 'bout dang time for the Recycler tool! THAT should have come out during Launch time, in my own opinion. But thank you! thank you thank you. "

This "useless" patch does seem to matter a great deal to someone!

I'd just like to say, ANY patch is a welcome addition, and it will continue to be.

Thanks again Devs for heading forward, despite the negitive posts. there are many others who appriciate it.
