OK, folks, I've reviewed sweatyclimber's thread inviting folks to post their top-ten questions and I've tallied how often I read each question. I also went through my current January top-five-issue poll, and as one might expect I found the same concerns touched on with about the same frequency there. I've tried to compile my ten questions so that they don't "overlap" too much.

TH didn't ask me to prioritize these questions. Nonetheless, I've tried to put them in descending order of frequency with which the questions were posed; i.e., the top two questions (on new songs and AFKing) were posed the most often. The one exception is my number 10 "big picture" question, which was also cited quite frequently; I put this at the end becomes, well, it seemed like a good way to cap the list.

1. When will we get new songs, instruments, and instrument sounds?

2. What are the devs planning to do to address unattended gameplay -- i.e., AFK macroing?

3. What new content (including post-Master content) do the devs have planned for Musicians?

4. When will we get the ability to buff ourselves?

5. How do the devs plan to make Entertainer missions more interesting, rewarding, and worthwhile?

6. When do the devs plan to fix the theater so that one can heal and buff onstage, or even play the ommni box or nalargon on stage? [Question for Musicians: I haven't tried an ommni or nala onstage recently; do they work yet? -NJ]

7. What plans do the devs have to integrate Musicians into the GCW and game story -- e.g., with a Cries of Alderaan for noncombatants, or factional missions geared to entertainers?

8. Will instrument quality (i.e., Musician crafting experimentation) ever matter? Why can't it affectour buff, or the quality of our healing, or something?

9.Why don't the devs ever post in the Musician forum, and what plans do the devs have for better communication with Musicians?

10. We Musiciansfeel like we haven't got much attention at all since launch. Is there a "big picture" plan for our profession? If so, what is it?

Please give me your comments ASAP. I'd really like to get this to TH in the next few days. Thanks!

6. When do the devs plan to fix the theater so that one can heal and buff onstage, or even play the ommni box or nalargon on stage? [Question for Musicians: I haven't tried an ommni or nala onstage recently; do they work yet? -NJ]

you can 'use' an omni and a nalargon anywhere in the game as far as I know BUT the issue with the theater is that the stage and indeed the audience section is considered by the game engine as 'outside' so that the game engine does not know who has access (drop rights) to that area... this is the same problem PAs are having with PA hall exterior top floors and everyone else has with their large house exterior porches

similarly the stage and audience section does not allow ent healing because it is not 'inside'

other problems with the theater are that it has no sign on the outside

the access fee only aplies to the backstage (performers can be charged via the access fee but patrons cannot) this is the same reason as the first two [the stage is not considered inside]

people cannot be banned from the audience section of the theater

pleaes integrate this issues into your question but you might want to shorten it a bit

great job NJ!

Bandkanon: Yes, I just saw TH's replies. The entertainers' questions overlap some of ours, though not all of ours. To that extent I suppose we can expect similar answers. If you think our list overlaps too much with theirs, I'm open to suggestions.

NJ62: I like your suggestions for adding "when". I'll incorporate those changes after I've heard from a few more people.

re afk question, I would word it more towards what will be done for atk players not what will discourage afk based on the reply in entertainer section. Clearly stopping afk play is a battle we arent going to win, perhaps time to change the goal to rewarding those atk instead. The rest of the question seem right on the money, good work!

based on reading TH responce to the ent thread here are my suggestions/ comments

NewJedi wrote:

1. When will we get new songs, instruments, and instrument sounds?

reword to: Instraments having unique sounds, new instraments and new songs have been the number one issues almost since launch. It is very dificult to code and implement we understand. The consern is getting a new "one of these" every 18 months if it is that long inbetween additions then we need quite an assortment added not just 1 instrament and 2 songs. What is the ballpark timeframe? Please overestamate if you need to but give us a generalized time what is the we know by X date (even if its months sooner) that we will get these new items and how many do you expect to see?

2. What are the devs planning to do to address unattended gameplay -- i.e., AFK macroing? TH in the ent thread you stated you are essentially pro afk seeing as some people always will find the work around so its more fair to make it "open to the public" then just the computer savy. I understand you read the forums often and see how it is ripping the comunity apart because it is too easy... be it entertainers OR combatants for combatants, you can simply attatch the loot they seek to mobs that cant be afk'd. But entertainers have no active role in healing thus it promotes AFK even further. IF you cannnot/ will not change the afk system can you make entertaining healing active so that you almost can not afk it? make it so there has to be limited interaction between the entertainer and the client?

3. What new content (including post-Master content) do the devs have planned for Musicians? You say there is nothing planned for added content at the moment. However the entertainers could be a major part of your new updates comming. There are suggestions to this on our "cool ideas" thread. Why can we not get some of this attention.

4. When will we get the ability to buff ourselves?

5. How do the devs plan to make Entertainer missions more interesting, rewarding, and worthwhile? This should be with number 3 so i will continue that here... Why not make our missions part of these new updates making an atk ent in more demand while more interactive and fun.

6. When do the devs plan to fix the theater so that one can heal and buff onstage, or even play the ommni box or nalargon on stage? [Question for Musicians: I haven't tried an ommni or nala onstage recently; do they work yet? -NJ]this is still bugged nj

7. What plans do the devs have to integrate Musicians into the GCW and game story -- e.g., with a Cries of Alderaan for noncombatants, or factional missions geared to entertainers? this seems too much overlap i would replace it with a info/ cry for help question: TH the entertainment industry has lost about 70% of those that chose entertainer and would have continued it full time. This is largely due to how there is no attention for huge problems in our industry. And for those who didnt see the cantina's as they once were a percived (and real) lack of content. Once you reach master even if you are lucky enough to form a band, there is little control over it to make yourselves unique and more cohesive. Beyond that there is nothing else with your sp to do. Due to this we are droping like fly's. What will the dev's do to make a firm commitment to add content now. IF we are looking at fixes way down the line, its likely you wont need to do them as no entertainers will be left. While many of our top issues will take time to develop, many of our ideas for added content could be done relativly quickly. Will you the DEVs make a commitment to at least spend the 9% of your time on us since that is our percent of the population. Or would you rather just dump the proffesion? [ok i know this one needs work but you get the idea]

8. Will instrument quality (i.e., Musician crafting experimentation) ever matter? Why can't it affectour buff, or the quality of our healing, or something? a great example of something relatively small (we have skill tapes) that could be added for SOME slight content additions.

9.Why don't the devs ever post in the Musician forum, and what plans do the devs have for better communication with Musicians? (add) We may be a small population but certainly more then chefs are/ were can we at least get our fair share of attention ie equal to what our population is?

10. We Musiciansfeel like we haven't gotten basicly any (edited) attention at all since launch. Is there a "big picture" plan for our profession? If so, what is it? If not can we begin to develop one with a nice corospondance from you using our "cool ideas" thread as a launching point?

Basicly NJ, TH gave very broad answers to our questions on the ent thread... our questions here need more meat to them so we can get answers with more meat. The way I see it in the entertainer thread, it was saying we can expect NOTHING for QUITE SOME TIME so this is our ONE SHOT. Lets put as much meat into it as we can, hit hard and really try to get something acomplished here... if not our time was wasted.

i forgot to add..... since in my redo of the questions suggestion i took one out... the replacement one i would like to see is can you/ will you quickly add more band control in terms of song writing... currently it is very difficult to write macros to individually flourish instraments can we get a better interface for it?

If we're taking out a question, perhaps we can add

Why was experience for bandflourishes taken out, and can it be retruned?

(This assumes that any of us want xp for bandflourishes... my feeling is that it would help everyone sound better, and the afk-ing will happen with or without bandflos)
