Commands:

/flourish # place 1 thru 8 to perform your flourishes

/stop stops all music, you and the band

/stopmusicstops just you if you are in a band....this is the preferred method so you don't disgruntle others

/changebandmusic <songname> changes the music of the whole band

/yell hollars out your vocal talent as you throw out some tunes

/pause # sets pauses in between your macros

/startmusic <songname> starts a new song

/setperform <target> or /setperform <players name> to start your buff

----there's also a command to kill a macro which I cannot remember!!!!

Macro similar to what I use:

I edit a Macro as follows and place it in my second slot of my sixth pane.

/startmusic <songname>

/pause 45

/flourish #

/pause 25

/flourish #

/pause 45

/flourish #

/pause 25

/flourish #

/pause 60

/yell "Vanilla....Ice, Ice Baby!!!"

/pause 45

/flourish #

/pause 25

/flourish #

/pause 45

/flourish #

/pause 60

/yell "Hammertime!!!"

/pause 45

/flourish #

/pause 25

/flourish #

/pause 45

/flourish #

/pause 60

/ui action ToolbarSlot 01

A couple of things with the Macro. You can offer to delete the first line and just manual start whatever song you want then hit the Macro to start on line 2 with the first pause. In regards to the last line, you have to remember that the first Slot on a Pane starts as 00, so 01 is actually the second slot. You can also edit your yells to anything you want, I just used these as examples with no pun intended!!! With this macro you should not require any healing or if any, very little!!!

When Buffing:

Make sure the player isn't already listening to you. Start your buff. Once they see the message across their screen, "JoeSmoe has directed their attention towards you!!", have them start listening. Now from what I've studied it takes a Novice Musician to buff about 8-10 minutes time per a person. As a Master the buffing only took me about 5-8 minutes!!! ***NOTE to the customer*** The buff does not take effect until they stop listening!!! A stopwatch is alsovery handy!!!

There's also a secondary buff that works in groups. I have yet to study how this works, but rumor is that if individuals are in a group while a Musician is playing they get a group buff!!!

If you are using a Nal or a Ommni to buff, you have to use the /setperform <player name> option and not the /setperform <target> option due to the fact that if you untarget either one of these two instruments you will stop playing!!! This is the soul reason why I use a Bandfill.

Hints and Tips:

-The best method I found which got me to Master in 5 days the second time around was to go back and forth between Theed and Coronet cantinas. Go to which ever place seems to be more populated, both with entertainers and with customers.

-Join large groups, the more players the more XP

-Groups that have 2 or 3 Masters in them are prime for XP

-Docs/Medics/Combat Medics DO NOT need to be in the group to be able to heal those green bars of ours.Keeping them out of groups allows for more Entertainers, thus more XP.

-Be social andeven though unattended macroing is a "bad subject" these days, if you do it, don't do it too long. If you say you don't you are lying!!! LOL Group leaders are known to kick AFKers!!!

-If you see some CMs around, see if they can mind poison or mind disease a few subjects!!!

-To get the Optimal amount of XP out of your tunes, you should only be performing2 flourishes about every 10 seconds. Anything more is overkill!!!

-It's best to try and raise your Entertainer XP first and then Musician XP second!!!

-Galactic Wars are always a great way to earn XP easy!!! Both in buffing certain factions and healing after the war is over.

-I've never charged for buffs......tips are well appreciated!!! Don't ask for tips and offer your services often, you'll make more money this way than either charging or asking for tips!!! Asking or charging just sounds greedy to most. I once made 40Kfor simply playing ata wedding which only took about 15 minutes of my time.

-The Devs were kindenough to incoporate the fact that you can gain XP by crafting instruments. I craft and sell them to only make money or to give a helping hand to a new Musician. I've never used this method to gain XP!!!

Hope this helps and feel free to add any comments!!!!

ahhhhhh yes I forgot about the almighty /bandflourish and /bandflourish # <instrument> ones

probably cause so many hate bandflourishes, at least on Ahazi

yes and /dump, that's a needed one.........so you don't have 3 of the same macro going on at the same time and begin to wonder why your green bar disappeared so fast.......
