I'm sure you all know of the macro I'm going to ask about. It's the macro which spams system messages to your group "??? has started playing" "??? has stopped playing" endlessly. I'm told it grants music xp at nearly 4x the normal rate. Is this an exploit?

I ask because I kicked someone from my group today who was using it. Of course, they got pissed off so I'm wondering, is this really an exploit as it seems to be or is it just an incredibly annoying macro which spams messages you can't ignore?

Whether or not it is an exploit, I would certainly agree it should not be done in groups. In my opinion, you were within your rights as a group leader when you kicked the person out of the group. This is of course assuming the other 'live' people in the group agreed with you. That kind ofspam is justawful.

Working as intended is the CSR response to about anything unfortunately. " A rift in the space time contimium has just opened and swallowed my house and all of my vendore" "The game is working as intended."

Yeha, it does give bonus xp. The macro fakes the system into giving xp every flourish instead of once ever 10 seconds or however long the normal tick is. Considering the macro starts, flourishes, then stops ever 1.5-2 seconds ish, that's alot more xp than normal. Thanks for all your feedback glad to know I wasn't just being a jackass.

Oh, and I don't believe a word CSR's say. They ban people for going to the Singing Mountian Clan poi on Dathomir... There's no joke there either. People have actually had their accounts suspended for going to it.

I dont know about bonus xp but it seems to do a full musician buff in about 60 seconds. Had a musician do this to me and around 60 seconds after start and stoping continually he said the buff was done. Sure enough my Willpower and Focus were 100% for 2 hours.

I send a ticket to the CSRs and got a reply that this was working as intended.

Ack, this is a new one on me. I had heard of people doing this to speed up the buff; I didn't realize it also sped up XP.

I will forward your question to the devs. I find it hard to believe this is working as intended.
