Thread: How do I craft higher level instruments?

I made master Musician, but can only see the basic instruments when trying to do some instrument crafting. What do I need to do?

You need a specialized "Weapon, Droid and General Item Crafting" tool.
With other crafting professions, a specialized tool is required. If the schematic's complexity is 25 or higher, you also need to be standing next to a private crafting station within a structure or a droid equipped with a personal crafting station. The crafting station type must match the type of tool you're using.

Jes' wanted to let ya know, you don't need a crafting station. 
I do it all the time with just the Weapon, Droid and General Item Crafting Tool. Anything beyond the Fanfar requires that tool due to complexity.
Experimentation doesn't do anything, so don't bother. For that you'd need a station, whether public, private or droid. But since it confers nothing but a warm fuzzy feeling....

Yeah, but that station allows you to get a better made insturment, which, soon if the devs hold true be counted in as to how good your buffs are, right now, I can make a 60% on most everything, and above on a the traz and slitherhorn. I'm only a master musican for crafting skills anyhow, and that's with a +14.98 cratfing tool, and a driod with a matching station.

If you actually care about instrument quality, I just wanted to let you know that getting clothing attachments that add to Instrument Assembly are like any other experimentation SEAs...you only need +20 to get two more experimentation points.
I have some wonderful friends who know that I'm a die-hard musician, and one of them got me a ton of Instrument Assembly CAs. So I put the biggest ones into an outfit of jacket, pants, gloves and boots for +25. I just like getting gear as good as I can. But for extra experimentation points, you'd want either +10 or +20.
