Rather weird isn't it? Considering that a drummer could have the most flashy flourishes (stick twirling, cross sticking...) I wonder why they didn't add drums to the instruments...

In the past, very far away, they invented the 'ommni cube' which is sort of like an electic drumset, but it instead operates by tiny impulses from your hands instead of the malicious bashing of sticks.

yes, the bandfill and the ommni box are great devlopments, but as you put it "the meticlous bashing of sticks" would be great fun to do.

The sad thing is.. The Ommni Box isn't supposed to be drums. I don't have a source off the top of my head.. And it was probably a second hand source anyway. But the Ommni Box is something that takes a lot of concentration to use, and can change the sound of the band.

It does change the sound of starwars1 after a n00b has been playing the base song on slitherhorn for hours and hours.

*sigh* Wouldn't it have been nice to have a separate drum kit and bass instrument?

Yep, I played electric bass in aband in high school. Haven't touched it in years, though. My main instrument is the piano, though I also play electric and acoustic guitar, and I have done my share of vocals.
