I've beenthinking a lot about ways to improve the sound of what we do, and realized that there are some things missing in the sound. And that lead me to thinking about what instrument sounds I am not hearing.

Soooo, here is my wish list for new instruments/sounds in the game. :-)

1. A baritone variant of the Mandoviol, a deeper sounding instrument, for a richer, gentlerbaseline than the bandfill and ommni provide.

2. A similar basso sound in horns, eg a bassoon, for instance.

3. A concert harp! :-)

Someone has mentioned a neat idea for a kind of stand up bass. I personally would love to play something with a rich low/deep sound. I agree though, a more gentle bassline is a good idea.

Going, going, gone!

A while back, during a dev chat, somebody asked why Rodians couldn't wear the RIS helmet, and the answer was that things like this"even out" in the end. Then the dev admitted they just didn't have time to make helms that were distorted for races.

But how does it ever "even out?" It never does. Everything is for a human first, and your lucky if you're an alien and get to use something.

I'd like to see new instruments that were race specific. Like Twi'leks could wear some crazy thing on their head with bells or something, heh. Give Rodians a big plate of metal they play with the suckers on their fingers. Wooks should have some gigantic harp that nobody else could lift. Just add a new instrument for every race, but then leave humans out! Then tell the human players they didn't have time for them. I'd be so happy. There'd be some great threads that day.
