you can't buff yourself but I can't really understand why it cannot be done. You can heal your own fatigue and wounds so why not be able to buff yourelf?

/listen yosick;/target self;/setperformance

does this work for buffing your self?

Isn't this getting fixed in a publish or two?

Because the devs scratched their heads and then just shrugged.

This is the #2 issue on our current Top Five list. I talked to the devs about it months ago, and I had the impression the obstacle was more a technical one than a design objection to self-buffing. The buff is triggered by /listen and /stoplisten, but we don't ordinarily /listen or /stoplisten to ourselves. We heal ourselves automatically, without /listening to ourselves.

Anyway, they've made no promise to fix it by next publish or ever, but we'll see if we get a response to our top-five request.

Why would we get an answer to our top five list? We never got an answer to the ten questions that were originally supposed to be just for entertainers, then got expanded to include everyone and subsequently precluded ours ever getting answered. Don't think I've forgotten.

To answer the reason of why...we aren't able to stop listening to ourselves. (Or stop watching, in the case of dancers.) That's how the buff is triggered, is by stopping the listening process.

Fixing the 'stored buff' item would probably fix it so we could buff ourselves. If the buff automatically triggered the moment anyone getting (or potentially getting) healing was no longer listening/watching, then we'd both buff ourselves and no one would be able to 'store' a buff. Hell of a tradeoff unless they make us able to enhance the time-frame of our buff. When doctor buffs are at a 3 hour standard timeframe, ours only being for two hours points up how pathetic they are, especially when we can't control exactly how much ours add (it being based on the recipient's stats).

Well, Echinacea, we at long last did get an answer to the first of our ten questions. It wasn't much of an answer -- one new song in Publish 9 -- but it was something. Next week we submit (or resubmit) another question, and presumably we'll get another answer.
