Hey everyone

D'you know what I want to see? Instrument customization. You could set the colors of your instrument with a...guess...Instument Customization Kit! I'm getting tired of seeing all of the same instruments everywhere. Tell me what you all think.

Yeah everyone wants this. A black/blue instrument set would pwn anything

Good idea, but it doesn't make a ton of sense...Ever seen a green trumpet, or a purple sax?

I could enjoy that, as long as it wasn't like the "customization" on vehicles. worthless, duration is pathetic. Ivory or pearl inlay on the Mandoviol, anyone?

Thanks, MoJo - i was about to say, yeah i've seen just about every instrument in about any color IRL. It makes complete sense to be able to customize instruments. However, rather than a customization kits, musicians shouldn't need to "paint" their instruments, the color should be determined at item creation time and stay that way. Then you could own a number of instruments of the same type, but different colors - might look nice presentation-wise in your house.


I'd rather see instruments get cheaper and crafted more often,than have yet another customization kit to throw into my backpack. Just my two credits.

I think it's a good idea. I'll add it to the Big List O Ideas. Actually, you might consider posting it in that thread (sticki'ed in this forum) too.

Edit: Er, I meant the "brainstorming" thread stickie'd above. I periodically summarize the ideas there and present them to the devs. Also, TH has actually read that thread and posted in it once or twice. I periodically draw his attention to it.
