It occured to me while trying to answer NewJedi's question in another thread that we might be able to do something. Just want to know if this is possible or not.

Lets say your in a group of musicians, you got 1 nalgaron player, 1 Mandovial player and one person playing the Bandfill.

Is it possible to issue a series of specified bandflourishes and get the desired result?

This is just a for instance

make a small macro that just does this

/bandflo 1 Nalgaron;

/bandflo 4 Mandovial;

/bandflo 6 Bandfill;

/end

will this cause the person with the called instrument to do there own flourish ..but they excute at the same time?

The reason i ask is i just found out last night you can specify the instrument for the bandflourish. I learned by accident while playing with my new play back droid.

Also, if this is possible is it also possible to execute /startband and /stopband commands in the same manor?

Like could you do

/startband Bandfill;

/startband Nalgaron;

/pause 10;

/startband Mandovial;

/end

and have the band start up in that manner? Also stopping certain instruments for a predesignated time frame?

Like

after you do the above script during the song you could do

/stopband Bandfill;

/pause 20

/startband Bandfill;

/end

and have only the person playing the Bandfill drop out but the others continue to play?

This is just an idea i had i dont even know if its possible...if anyone has tried this or knows if its possible to let me know thanks

Well, first.....I fell honored to be addressed by name though I am sure there are many others more qualified to answer this one. For one I don't feel I am famous or fat....and I am most definitely NOT a wookie. I'm a Mon Cal.

I have tried these types of commands myself, specifically trying to stop my droid. Unfortunately the /stopband command is not targetable like bandflourish is. Likewise /startband is not either. Both affect the group...well everyone in the group who has an instrument equiped. FYI /startband will start your droid provided it has a track for the song being started or played.

Its kinda weird....I've sorta had to deal with issues like a droid before. Once or twice for gigs, I've been shorthanded for musicians and have managed AFK band members (or been managed while I was AFK) and have reasonably been able to start and stop them for songs and make em flourish. The targeted starts and stops would make that much easier. You can always stop a droid using the radialstop command, however it cuts off instantly without playing the stopping flourish.

Anyone else have any ideas or methods to share?

I guess I'll just try sylune's suggestion tonight, see if it works. I resist playing with macros, but with the droid, it seems like you've got to use macros unless you've got four hands, or unless all you want to do is bandflo yourself with the droid.
