I wrote in another post that you could also dance and do /bandflos as long as you have put he instrument name in the bandflo.

What i leared tonight is yes you can do this but there is a BUT. If your dancing and someone is watching you they cannot hear the droid UNLESS they were listening to you when you were playing an instrument. So lets say your playing music with your droid, and you switch to dancing. IF someone new comes along to watch you dancing with your bot, they cannot hear the droid playing. YOu have to start playing music again. This is also true if someone was listening to you..but stopped to have buff application, they cease to hear both you and the droid even if your grouped with them.

Just thought i would throw this out there for you guys messing around with this particular function. IF you want your patron to be able to hear the droid playing while your dancing they need to have been listening to you when you were playing an instrument. Otherwise you are just dancing to lights and no music

therealzizz,

No your not doing anything wrong. Actually i think that the idea that your "Recording" is misleading in the text. Your not actually recording anything. What you are doing is teaching the droid that when you play X song use Z instrument. Thats all.

You dont need to do flourishes or anything when you "record" just let the instrument run till it says the droid has learned then stop.

Then , here is what you do. When you start the playback on the droid and your playing along use /bandflourish <1-8> <instrument type> "Instrument type being whatever instrument you taught it to use for that song...so if you used a bandfill a typical bandflourished command would look like

/bandflourish 1 Bandfill

Its just that simple *

you can use bandflourishes to make the droid do the flos you want.

Hope this clears up your confusion in the matter.

I made a little MSE advanced droid called Boombox, taught it bandfill for ballad, and started the playback.

I didn't have to specify /bandflo 1 bandfill, just /bandflo 1 and the droid did the flourish with me.

Disappointments - the flourishes eat away at the droid's action bar. an MSE droid has about 10 band flourishes in it before it just runs outta action and stops playing.

I guess I was hoping that the bandflo's would run off the droid battery, like the effects do. My biggest problem with this is that droids take forever to heal. and, to use a repair tool on a droid you have to stop playing, heal the droid, then start playing again. annoying.
