This may be somewhere already but just wanted to know what gives you more xp...the higher song or the higher instrument? or both?

Either/or. It's usually easier to play your best instrument, since you have to play the same song as the rest of the band. The only point where that's really a hassle is getting from Novice Musician (Traz)to Musical Knowledge 2 (Bandfill).
