Does anyone agree?

I for one would love to see ventriloquism work as you'd think it would, i.e. make other objects say things

This seems like the exact sort of open ended skill that entertainers could use to actually amuse people. The entertainment possibilities are endless, for example you could haveyour droid bartend or do stand-up comedy while you play. Heck who knows perhaps with some carefully planned patrol points and some crafty ventriloquism a band could even have their droids put on an entire play.

To prevent abuse you'd probably have to make it so it couldn't be used on other players, but still it seems like it could be a lot of fun.

P.S. This would also be nice for those Musician RP'ers who don't believe in talking while playing a wind instrument, just have your droid talk for you

Actually i Like the ventriloquism ability. I like targeting it on audience members. personally i tend to use it when I'm thanking a medic or a tipper & i use it other times as well. It actually can be a fun ability.

I do wish that the mechanic of it was set so that you could type /v targetname in the command line when you're playing the ommni or the nala. Also I think ventriloquism is a bit of a silly name for it not that I have any suggestions to replace the name with. I do agree that an actual ventriloquism ability would be kind of neat however I also see lots of potential grief out of such an ability.

i luv the idea! the current ventro does nothing, nadda! i dont even use it. I really like the ideaabout actually having it ventro other things. Hey, i also think its good to be able to be used on other players, we can't fight them (most of us), why not ruin their reputation? (Not in a mean way) It's a better alternative than dueling em and winning, and starting a /tell war. It should also be anonomys, so no one know who is actually saying it! It's time to give us entertainers so frickin abillities!

this will never happen. Allow someone to say things for others?. No way will this ever make it in. Every person will spam the devs crying about it. Then they would make an option to turn it off and nobody would have it on. There is so much potential for griefing in this way, especially if you made it anonymous.
