Thread: I was thinking about the corespondant's job
Earlier I was reading the rifleman forum and thinking that I would make a pretty good corespondant down the road as I know it is planned to rotate that position. I read the posts, sorted the wheat from the chaff without getting emotional. I made a few posts which I found constructive and moved on.
I read two or three posts in the musician forum and I started to see red. I was about to post a typical fly off the handle message and then I thought back to my reaction in the rifle forums. I have more points in rifleman now than I ever had in musician, but I started as an entertainer and I guess I still have a strong desire to be a musician even though I am taking points out of music.
My point is I have a rule for myself to only post constructive things and voice complaints with workable solutions. Many people don't operate within such constraints. As mentioned I nearly violated my own rule a few minutes ago. So as a result of this the corespondant acts as a filter for the posts in the forums. The devs are then able to devote more time to developement. A tough job if you care about topic you filter.
I have a great deal of respect for the corespondants, I know that it is time consuming and challenging.

Yep, that's the idea. I'm here to report the issues and suggestions you all identify with the Musician profession.

Thanks. It has indeed been time-consuming, but it's also been a lot of fun. And I've learned a lot about the Musician profession from my fellow Musicians in this forum. Heh, I've still got more to learn. I'm a Master Musician and a Master Entertainer, but last night I realized I'd never tried to play Waltz on the mandoviol. Suddenly my band stopped in the middle of that song and asked me to solo on the mando! LoL, I learned that I need to practice my mando-on-waltz flourishes. ![]()
Anyway, thanks for the kind words.
