Thread: A possible factor in gig mission payouts?
Ok, was reading through the boards, and in Warder83's thread on a new skill branchcame across this:
Back to the gig tree they could make the new Entertainer mission terminals give gig missions. You have to have at least 3 people in a group to activate one, then go somewhere and play. Maybe thats a bad idea, whatever...
I'm not really sure what the entertainer terminals are giving out now, but I digress... ![]()
Has anyone tried checking the mission terminals while grouped? I know there's a few MM/ME bands formed out there (at least two serious ones on Chilastra). Have any of these tried checking the terminals with 3/4/5 people in a group?

I haven't, but that's a good idea; I'll give it a try. My guess is that it won't make a difference, but it's worth a shot.
When grouped, the money is split. Also, you can take two missions in the same place, and get paid double when you complete the time alotted.

Well, yeah, I knew that. I'm just trying to figure out whether there's some way to get the missions themselves to pay more. I meant if you're grouped with another personwhen you take the missionand it paid 3 times as much, splitting the take is no big deal.
I mean, the destroy missions get harder (with bigger payouts) when you equip a weapon you are more profficient with. I just thought there might be something similar for us, andsince base skill or instrument equipped doesn't have an effect, I thought grouping might.
I mean, the devs couldn't possibly be thinking we were getting filthy rich on the missions before, so there must be some *other* good reason for the reduced payout. Right? Right? Please? Ok, call me naive, I can take it...
Unfortunately, I'm thinking the rationale was "well, now they can get gigs wherever (instead of just in the theaters)", so less work = less pay. Why they couldn't scale it by distance like deliveries or crafting missions is beyond me.
