For those that know how vocal Ican get and was wondering why I am not banging away on the musician issues, I thought I would explain. I know, who cares. =P

I'm in the middle of a real hard decision. I'm an entertainer. I'm a MM, but I also want to be a tailor. Combine those 2 and your skill points are gone. Not totally, but close. The problem is that I want to be a rebel. Faction required fighting, which means I need combat skills to advance and to PvP. So the choise is do I basically decide to be a cantina only person, lose my tailoring, or lose the music. Since the Music profession is mostly 3 useless trees and one major one, I'm kinda in the boat of drop master, tech, wound, and fatigue. Gives me back 33 SP and I only lose the Nalargon and Virtuoso. I'm holding off as long as possible, and I've even considered a marathon afk match to hit the music cap, incase I come back later......So, long story no longer, I'm gonna probably quit the music business and as such, I just don't have the heart to come bitch here if I'm going to abandon the class anyway.

So, it's been fun and I hope the fixes that the class need get done. Oh, and for your story badge, expect to kill about 2000 npc's. Night.

Well first I'm sorry to see you go, I'm sort of in the same boat but before I take up tailor I'm going to master Rifle and see how I like that. If I was ever to dump MM I would do like you and hit the XP cap just in case I wanted it back....

Now the real Question. What NPCs are you killing? I just started trying to get my Rebel faction high enough so that I could even try and kill IMP npcs but they all still just show up as white (not yellow netural or red enemy) to me so I can't attack them. I'm at the Reb Base on Corilea and I'm just doing destroy missions for them to gain faction (now at 40) but all the NPCs I'm killing at the camps only seem to drop credits, and they are things like Miners, Rodian Thugs, and things like that. Do I need to kill Imps to get the Data Disks to drop?

And does anyone know if there is a rebele recruiter at the Reb HQ on Coreilia?

Any NPC will do. I focused on low level thugs that you find in droves within every city. The drop rate is not promising, so expect to kill thousands of thugs before you have a complete set. Heck, I had 3 reb 4, 2 reb 2, 2 imp 4 and 2 imp1 in 10 hours. I just traded the excess off for the ones I needed.

Sorry to see ya leave the cantina's profession . The more I play music the more I think I'm gonna be ditching Master Entertainer. There's A LOT I can do with those 34 extra points (keep explore III, which I need for the traveling I like to do, get some surveying skills back so I don't have to buy crap to make the free instruments I make etc...).

I'm goin for Teras Kasi Master, and would like to keep Master Musician. In two months time tho, if I'm still playing the same songs....Musician may go bye bye in favor of Smuggler once again (heh, gonna SUCK getting those slicing xp points back if I do).

I can only hope that with the introduction of the elite-elite professions we'll see some more skill points added to our pool, 300 sounds like a great number to me right now, because then I could keep ceremonial and the touch up make up/hairstyles, yet still keep explore ). I too wanna be a tailor, but I think that's gonna be saved for the third server I play on, I have sooo many tailor friends and contacts on bria, I don't really need to make clothes myself...they all know I'm a clothes whore.

I'll play for you for a while at least Killian, still probably find me in theed . Still deciding if I wanna go full Reb or Imp, or both (I'm in the midst of finding this out right now). So I'll see you on the battlefield for sure, as a friend or foe I don't know yet.

Well Killian,
I wish you all the success in whatever you do. This game is made to be whatever you make of it, and if you do drop the musician skills, its not like you can't come back.

I know about the tailor thing, I wish i could have been a tailor, but I personally, will not give up music for it. But I had thought long and hard about making it my secondary profession. In the long run I am just doing the entertainer thing

But once again, good luck and don't feel like a stranger, you still have a lot of insight and wisdom to share with our class here :0

I don't think it's entirely true that Rebel Faction requires fightunless you want to be Overt.

Covert, you DON'T have to fight, at all

Shoot, I seem to hit another **edit** NO-EDIT option dilemma

I need combat skills to advance and to PvP

Ah, I seem to not pay attention to that. So you do want to go Overt huh?

...

Well, yeah I wish there is ways for the Devs to add more Point in the next BIG update, or expansions.

I am running out of points myself

These are all hard decisions. I chose option C) Get another account. That character does the things that Weibacca doesn't do.

Weibacca is probably going to stick it out with some basic Rifleman, a bit more Creature Handling and of course his favorite trade, Master Musician and Entertainer.

I wish you the best in your endevours however. Hopefully you will at least keep Composer to play the tunes we all know and love. =)

Thanks Weibacca.

Your training and you instruments are what allowed me to move so quickly to MM in the first place. It was an honor and a pleasure to jam with ya, even when I hade to jump from planet to planet just to get trained =)

Yes, I like PvP, which entertainers are just not suited for and have a hard time doing as their skills are intensive.
