was crusin through the holo grind finished master entertainer and musician at the same time and paused to try out all the instruments with all the songs and wrote down the XP I got for them solo (had 1 listener most of the time) and 2 flourishes per XP tick.

looks like each song and instrument has a base XP per tick value and the amount you recive is the largest of the 2 values and not the sum of the values. in a band if your looking for XP you definatly want to use your best instrument although the song being played will make little difference unless its base value happens to be higher than your best instrument at the time only happens musicianship2 as far as I rember.
Next my best discription of the sounds the instruments make as well as my opinon on how I liked the various songs with them.
slitherhorn a higher pitched sax sound reasonable on most songs
fizzz sounds like several brass wind instruments being played at the same time in an echoy room. sounds nice on the jazzy songs
fanfar brass wind instrament sound... kinda saxishsounded good on ceremonial and ballad
kloo horn sounds like a sax on mostsounded good on all but rock and jazz sounds like a sax on most
mandoliovliked it onSW1 rock and folk loved it on ceremonial balladnot so good on sw3anoying on sw2 and jazz generaly sounds like a violin or a guitar depending on the song liked it the best on the songs it was good at
traz not to bad overall sax like sound most of the time sometimes crossed with out wind instraments although thought it sounded like an electric keyboard on rock and some of the SW ones half the time liked jazz the best
bandfill drums and a bassie keyboard sound sometimes horn sounds as well not to bad on most songs although SW2 sounded like somethign out of a corny comedy/detective movie(think good guy tracking/chaseing badguy through various comic sceens)ceremonial was sweet with it jaz and virtuoso were prety good as well
chidinkalu horn standard brass wind instrament sound best on the faster songs but not bad on all waltz was a good slow one however (romantic)
omnibox vertualy identical to the bandfil on almost all the songs.
Nalargon basicly an electronic keyboard with multipul sound setings includeing pipe-organ piano and steeldrums overall not that good solo but intrestign in bands.
I know I was just a holo grinder but I actualy found this profession entertaining (pun intended) and felt like shareing some of my observations. may pick up this prof agian one day if I ever unlock just for fun. I also didnt see much info about the XP or instruments when I looked through pre grind. hope someone finds it useful.
Edit: tried to compact the XP list as it didnt show as well on a smaller screan sorry about the small font but that was the best way to make it fit (wish we had actual tables avalible for this board). As to the tip about the instruments with the same soundsets oops I should have thought to listen for that mostly I just started on one instrument and played each song in turn befor moveing on to the next. That might explain why the descriptions were similar

Slyth and Fanfar and Traz have IDENTICAL sound sets
so do Fizzz, Kloo and Chidinkalu (to each other ...not to the Slyth/Far/Taraz combo)
so do Bandfill and Ommni Box
Only Mando and Nalargon are unique.

The table is great....
The conclusion is perfect....
...and has been often stated
Now if I can get the idiots who want to only play the highest song so they can master on a slytherhorn to just invest in new instruments....the music would sound so much better. Worst I heard was a 4 song melange of SW1, SW2, Folk and Ballad.
The Instrument/song issue happens in Music 2 (entertainer) with getting SW2 but still on a Fizzz and Music Knowledge 1 (music) getting Ballad but still on a Traz. Thus for the extra 1 or 2 xp the melange was, somewhat, justified.
Oh and I love the sound descriptions, but FYI....
Slyth and Fanfar and Traz have IDENTICAL sound sets
so do Fizzz, Kloo and Chidinkalu (to each other ...not to the Slyth/Far/Taraz combo)
so do Bandfill and Ommni Box
Only Mando and Nalargon are unique.

a good reference chart.
could you add how many plus xp I get for having each new person in the group, and how many for each new audience member actively listening. Someone told me all this back at launch, but we didn't write it down. Not that I need this info anymore, but someone might be interested.
