Thread: Credit Scandal: I hope you have a carbine in your Slitherhorn Case

This is big and something the bluetags have to bring up ASAP! Unless this is handled correctly, entertainers are going to have a lot of trouble staying in this game. This is why I’m worried:

--We get paid through the tip system. We don’t trade goods.

--We can’t afford to tip back big amounts. Who knows if we’ll ever see another tip in days? Its just the nature of the professions. I can’t tell you how many times a 100,000 credit tip from an armour mogul was the ONLY tip I received in a week.

--I would imagine the same people who do this counterfeiting are the same people who run buffbots: multiple accounts, members of “pay to win” sites, etc.

--I would imagine also that any one deranged enough to do this scam would be deranged enough to take down those things they hate. We have been systematically hated by powergamers for a long time who feel we do not belong in the game. I wouldn’t put it past these people to tip us counterfeit credits to “tag us” honest live ents as cheaters.

So until the bluetags give me some indication I can still play this profession, I am going to don my fencing attire, polish my epee, and work on my riposte fighting…whatever. And playing this profession for me includes the ability to take in every tip—no matter the size, confident that I can keep it, use it, and spend it.

Sirii Ajaan the “Dancer of and for the Stars” is on sabbatical until further notice…and I suggest you other entertainers who hope to be around in a week do the same.

Two threads already today on Chimeara from Entertainers who have received tips in excess of 1 million- at first excited and now quite honestly a bit panicked after they were enlightened to the credit exploit.

None of the problems this game has faced have made me come close to cancelling my sub - if innocent people are banned, trust me, I'm out.

The ones duping are properly duping billions of credit... you se that the point thair greed take over and they run with it. When the credits are tracked down, I doubt that a "minor tip" of one million would warrant any reproductions.

Look at the bright side...

The credit dupers might tip buffbots! *crosses fingers*

******You know, I actually took offense to this. I run a buffbot service and I certainly am not the type of person to exploit. And for those who think having a buffbot is exploiting, please, save your breath. In addition, I'm one of the more honest and considerate of the masses who play. You're stereotypical statement is off base.

And by the way, if noone had the guts to mention it, I do believe this live entertainer hype is damaging this honest buffbot profession. . .

Joke people....don't come lynching for me...*laughs*

Yeah, very much so. Especially since the developers actually seem to think that this is possible.

Or asJustG put it in the announcement:

JustGwrote:

Please be careful of receiving large sums of money from anyone.

We are going to suspend, and then ban anyone who has participated in this dupe, which includes transfer or reception of funds.

Seems a lot like people can become the unwilling victims of "drive-by-tippings". As a matter of fact, seems like people have been the victims of this already. It's all over the Kettemoor forums...

I have nothing against buffbots. No one has the rights to tell you how to play. But please, stop calling yourself "master bot musician".You're no musician, justa buffmonger at best. Or a **edit** machine. Or a tape recorder. Or a jukebox.
