This is so annoying! It seems to happen everytime I go to the cantina now. It seems all the musicians are spaming stop/start/stop/start. Is this a bug abuse or something?

The devs refuse to acknowledge it. So it's perfectly ok I guess.

I've asked the devs to announce whether they regard this as an exploit. So far no reply. My own view is that it is.

I don't know if I find it more of an exploit, or more obnoxious... but it should be removed, either way.

Well, on TC now there is a small change: each time you stop playing/dancing, you will have to wait 15 seconds before you can play/dance again. I am betting that this change is there to stop that particular behavior....Its a bit annoying for those of us that just want to switch to another song or dance, though.

It's not solely designed to speed-buff, though that's part of its effect. It also increases the user's Musician XP as much as 4x.

Note, incidentally, that the devs have a speed-buff nerf (of sorts) on Test Center now. Our audience now must listen to us for a minimum of two minutes to get the buff. I'm still tryiing to figure out whether this means 2:00 plus normal buff time, or some other formula. E.g., it normally takes me 3:00 to buff. Under the new system, will it take me 5:00 total minutes, or 3:00? I'll test it on Test Center tonight.

Actually, my friend has told me she sees the begin/stop messages coming from me, though I'm not high level enough to buff. Also, she sees me continuing to play. Bug, maybe?

Hi!

I've been trying to experiment to reduce the time it takes me to buff both as a musician and dancer. I've read that for music it can be done in a bit over three minutes for the full 2 hours buff, but for the life of me I can't make it work. I know about the 30 second spamming thing, but I don't want to do that. I searched the forum, but to say that the search feature really wasn't helpful would be an understatement.

Thanks for any help you can provide

The search functionality tends to crap out on me at the worst times, too. Like when I'm trying to buy Musical Mind Enhancement clothing tapes.

Please refer to The Patent Pending Fragpuppie Uber 3:10 QuickBuff thread for directions on doing the 3:10 buff. The same principal works for both music and dance. I do both on a daily basis. When I don't have the time or just don't feel like getting doctor enhancements, I drink two Accarragm and can get both music and dance buffs done on that...though my Action does dip a little while doing the dance buff, I can get it done without running too low.

I can do the 30 sec buff.. I think it's an exploit so I don't do it.. best time I get otherwise is 3.5 mins.. buff for 2hours6seconds everytime, lol.. and I have NO + to mind enhancement, either, so I don't know where the extra 6s comes from
