Buff system bugged to hell and back = no problem!

Buff interface non-existence = it's a feature!

Musician prof. lacking in any sort of innovation = Just fine!

"Speed buffing" allowing musicians to sell a viable product and get around a broken system = THIS MUST BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY!!!11

/rude

How many months now since we got any substantive new content? I don't mean some quest that you can get done in a night and get right back to being bored in a cantina... how long? and yet somebody starts whining about 'speed buffing' being unfair and it's fixed IMMEDIATELY??!

Filters will not adequately allow me to express my disgust with this.

I don't think anyone is surprised that the SpeedBuff made its way into the devs' priority list so quickly.

I also can't say that I'm unhappy it's being adjusted the way it is. Now if only they would finish balancing the equity between medical personnel and performers....

I think the reason it made it to the top of there priority list is because people who post threads that tell how or defend speed buffs get flamed and kept on the top of the board. So I think we, as musicians wanting content, should not even post on threads like that so they drop to the back. Then we can show the devs what we care about most.

Dropping English, I agree. But is there a way to complain louder or more often about the other things that matter? Can we do it without going overboard?

Oh, I'm not surprised... just disgusted.

Lets keep some threads like these alive and try to keep senseless posting on AFK arguments to a min

This is the main "cool game play ideas" thread which has droped from the front page.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=musician&message.id=8679

This thread has a cool Idea about being able to change the subtlties of your bands music

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=musician&message.id=12233

An idea about a combat roll for musicians

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=musician&message.id=12078

This thread has Lebob's update on the some new content thats going to be added

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=musician&message.id=11882

Another good idea, have a way for merchants to burn our CDs

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=musician&message.id=11986

There have been tons of ideas like these ones but most of them have falling to the endlessly creative flaming from most of us. So lets support threads like these and any new ones that show up. And even if we don't like the ideas lets try to build upon them. Then maybe we can inspire those devs who watch the threads to make cool ideas also.

You act as if the devs were reading the forums. Haven't you learned anything in the past year ?

And yes, I think taking an hour to fix an exploit should be a priority over a 3 months combat revamp.

Heh, yep, they don't read this forum. It sounds so cynical, but that's the whole point of having correspondants. I'm sure this was a matter of seeing what people were doing in the game, and then they put in this quick fix. And that's what it is. Just code in this 2 minute thing... but has anybody tested whether or not the 30 sec buff still works?

That's the sick thing about this band-aid. I just know they didn't actually fix the 30-sec buff. It still works. There's just the two minutes added at the top. So I'm going to have people demanding the 30-sec buff after they have to wait the required 2min.

The whole entertainer buffing system needs a revamp. That's my number one issue. We need an interface, we need self-buffs, we need to do away with the start/stops to do it in 30 seconds (after this 2minute crap).

Well, I don't love the way they fixed this either, but I'm glad they did something.

As to our other issues, they know full well we're going crazy for lack of new content (songs, quests), and they know we want a self-buff and a better buff interface. They have our top-five list, and those things are on it. But we always seem to be lower on the priority list than something else. Now that something else is the Jedi Revamp, but there's always something, it seems. At least we're getting the Social Adventure -- although I hope that gives us more than just one new song.

It seems the combat medics and rifleman complaints outweigh the entire entertainer community's complaints (except for image designer...but that's not actually "entertaining").
